I thought it was delicious that the Army actually made it about the history of their vehicles and pulled a lot of the smaller, lighter units out of the museum to show off....they managed to stun the crowd with an incredibly dull narrative about the details of military vehicles that people along the parade route couldn't even hear. The troops looked lazy and sloppy walking along. It really was one of the saddest displays for a sad little man.
Thank goodness it is over.

It will be interesting to see if Trump finds a reason to fire Hegseth over this $45 million [lack of] spectacle.
An interesting story- there was $12 million allocated for road repairs. They had crews working overnight to reinforce the roads that the tanks mowed over. Some of the equipment was transported from Texas and had to be shipped back afterward.

Metal plates at least an inch thick covered parts of the military parade route in D.C. where tanks and armored vehicles will be rolling through on June 14. Mayor Muriel Bowser said she is still "concerned" about possible damage to the city's streets.
