Because the administration is claiming that he was rejected because he said that he had smoked marijuana once in New Mexico. This also justified strip searching him.

On the bright side, "Midnight Express" has inspired many prison-themed porn videos.
 
Of course, it's easy for me to dismiss someone else's desires or dreams, but if I were entering a country and they asked me for any of my personal information in social media, I'd turn around and find a better country.
 
Not that we are planning on travelling to the US any more, but I have told others that if they go on business, don't take a personal laptop or phone.

And of course, if you come from countires where marijuana is legal, you are giving border control in the US all the pretext they need to make your life a living hell and then
deny you entry as the story above notes. I have read about three such cases now this week.
