Poll: 3 in 10 voters say “armed revolution might be necessary”

That is misleading. The "world" didn't love Obama per se. They loved the fact that America had Obama. None of those people in the respective countries that lauded the fact that he was President of the United States would ever elect one such as him for their leader. Can you imagine Obama as leader of France or the UK or Germany? Of course not, they wouldn't allow it. So their being overjoyed with Obama was not ever a compliment. It was a sneer.

What is it with Americans and conspiracy theories? The world is not glad to see Obama in power because everyone has it in for the US and we thought Obama would make that happen. The world was glad to see Obama elected because finally the country has a chance again, to begin recovering from the unmitigated disaster of Bush Junior, which is likely to take a generation. My country sent my fellow citizens to fight and die alongside US citizens in Afghanistan. We don't have it in for you. That's just crazy conspiracy time on local cable tv or something to say we were hoping for Obama to fuck things up.

If you want to know how the world felt about the US before Obama, just google "how can 59 million people be so dumb."

honestly, I believe there's 30% of the country that will agree to any statement posed to them in a poll.

Ding Ding Ding.

I guarantee that maybe only 1% of these inbreds that agreed with the question are serious. The others are just a bunch of whining crybabies that are all bark and no bite. No different than the chickenhawks.

It isn't a theory if it is happening. The economy is tanking. Unemployment is pandemic. The executive branch tells its departments to disregard US law as it applies to many things, i.e. immigration, gun purchase enforcement, welfare and medicaid fraud. The foreign policy is in shambles. The AG lies to Congress. The administration retaliates against anyone that disagrees with them. The list goes on an on. In what country, pray thee tell, are you a citizen, so that I might become more aware of how superior your country is?

Wow. What country do you live in? Sure doesn't sound like the America where I live.

Sounds like you'd better leave where you live because you like to bad mouth it. Maybe you can find some other place more your liking.

America.... love it or leave it.

Vive la Revolution

This is a low rent thread btw

The economy was being flown into the ground from 2001-2009 and by no small amount of skill and a great deal of luck, Obama and Europe prevented it from crashing into a great depression. It's still not easy going. You're the one who thinks my country is superior - I never said that, though to be honest you'd need at least another 8 years of Obama beyond his two-year limit, and a constitutional amendment, before I'd even consider moving there.

I've got property in Jonestown that is just perfect for you.

Benvolio, are you old enough to know what the term broken record means? Back in the day, before cds, we had these vinyl disks that we placed on this thing called a phonograph. You put the record on the turntable of the phonograph, and placed an arm that contained a "needle" (not sewing needle) on the record and the needle translated the grooves on the record into sound. When the record became scratched or cracked, the needle would begin to jump, and you would hear parts of the sound from the record being repeated over and over again. To most of us who are over 40, you sound amazingly like a broken record. You have this tirade you keep going on about how immigrants are evil. And unless you are a Native American, your ancestors came here from somewhere else. This can be looked at in two ways, either immigration isn't inherently bad, or allowing your ancestors into this country was a mistake. Which is it?

Just a warning to everyone, I cannot confirm that it was a link in this thread, but Right after I clicked on a link in post above, I went into a blue screen of death and had to reboot.

Immigration is not inherently bad. But times have changed. The frontier is gone, the land is settled. The days of a rapidly expanding economy are gone by reason of foreign competition. We now have, it is said, 11 or so million unemployed, another 12 million under employed, many more millions who have given up. Wages for those without high education or difficult skills are low and stagnated. Massive immigration insures that that condition will continue or worsen. The racial minorities impacted most of all, and unemployment among black people are worst of all. Every problem we have is made worse by immigration; environmental problems, crime, welfare dependancy, poverty, health care, social divisiveness. There is no possibility that we can make progress against poverty if we continue to bring in millions and millions of more poor people. It is absolutely stupid to say that because our ancestors were immigrants, we are stuck with a perpetual influx of millions Of poor people.

Dude, at this point we can all quote your opinion without even reading it. We know what you're gonna say. And nobody cares. Why do you bother?

ain't gonna be no revolution. You could get 30% of people on a survey to say they are going to have to defend themselves from invaders from Mars.

Benvolio, in recent years, immigration of Persons Obtaining Legal Permanent Resident Status has declined in the last few years according to records kept by the department of Homeland Security. Here are the actual numbers:
2005 1,122,257
2006 1,266,129
2007 1,052,415
2008 1,107,126
2009 1,130,818
2010 1,042,625
2011 1,062,040
2012 1,031,631

To finish my thought, If you look at the numbers, immigration has decreased during the Obama administration. Which tends to put holes in your theory. Also, according to statistics, (http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/policy/abortion/ab-unitedstates.html) abortions have decreased since 1990. So where do you get your information that "Liberals" are aborting more and more fetuses so they can increase immigration of liberal voters?

And for your information, most of the "liberal" voters I know do not believe in abortion. Most of them believe I teaching sex education in schools and making condoms available to prevent unwanted pregnancies, then they do not have to become abortion statistics.

Perhaps the small changes in legal immigration explain why Obama's and the Democrats' primary focus is upon immigration reform, i.e. amnesty for the 11,000,000 or so illegal immigrants, rushing them to citizenship, while opposing IDs at the polls. Can you seriously doubt that the Democrats push for amnesty is because they know the new Hispanics will vote Democrat?
Look again at your link. The footnote says that the figures since 2002 are incomplete. Of course, the show a little decline. Are they counting the morning after pill as an abortion? What individual liberals prefer is not as relevant as how they vote, and the Democrat politicians do whatever they can to facilitate abortion. It is working. The birth rate is declining.
I am a little disappointed that you do not address the adverse effect which the massive immigration has upon existing Americans including minorities. Do you believe that an ever increasing population, mostly poor will improve Americans' way of life?
