That is very handy isn't it. The UK has an appalling record on races relations. The restrictive immigration policy limits minorities. They certainly wouldn't entertain the idea of 11 million brown skinned people in their country getting a free pass. The Parliament is very much a mirror of public sentiment concerning minorities. I think just this current Parliament has a handful more of minorities. There will never be a PM any color other than white. There will never be a monarch any color other than white unless the citizenry demand that Prince Harry marry a sub-Saharan indigenous tribesman and there is an incident like with his great great uncle.
This is much like the Australian guy that always chimes in on gun control. I have been trolling through Australian law concerning gun control in the last few days and it seems that the gun control laws have more to do with keeping guns out of minorities hands than anything to do with gun violence. Something to do with all the race riots and gang rapes back a few years ago. I suppose that is yet another brick in that commonwealth's Australian White Policy.
Please do drone on about how horrible America is concerning race relations. For whatever reason, we have a black guy running things.

There seem to be those in national politics in Australia still advocating for the "white" policy as late as 2007. There were some race riots in it seems 2005 and 2009. The gang rapes I found were in 2000 not in the 50s or 60s.
I like your graph. Now look at the actual numbers. A hundred thousand plus, give or take, compared to the millions we get illegally here every year. The graph you are showing is of legal immigration and connotes people with, I think what I saw was, at least 3 years of higher education as compared to the millions of illiterate poor we get here.
I am finding Australian law and culture very interesting thanks to you. It is such an anachronism.

O hey I looked at pics of the Australian Parliament. I only saw two people that could be called people of color but the color was anything but black or brown or anything remotely like close.

Yes, prior to the Port Arthur Massacre in 1996, Australia suffered around one mass shooting per year. The staunchly conservative Prime Minister of the time went against public opinion and bought back huge numbers of guns, funded by a temporary tax levy. Gun laws were dramatically increased, to the point that guns were essentially removed from urban communities.
The result: to date, there hasn't been a mass shooting in Australia. Suicide rates, especially among youths, dropped substantially. Gun deaths dropped substantially. Overall crime rates have continued to drop in accordance with averages across the developed world.
Gun control was unequivocally successful at reducing gun deaths in Australia, and overall crime rates have dropped as well. These are the facts.

I'm still going through all the Australian data as far as the gun situation. The way it is compiled is strange. It is almost like they don't want there to be any clear extrapolation of anything definitive. I didn't look at the Daily Show excerpts because that is a comedy show and not anything that most educated people would use in relation to hard data. One might as well use Designing Women as a source for data.

Not much of a news hound these days but I thought I heard that some group of Seattle may day protesters were not from the Seattle area & that violence against the city streets was considerably less than last may day in Seattle--5 arrests were made relating to this may day in Seattle.
