POLL: Ethnic/racial preferences

Perhaps this is just me, but when I evaluate a man's attractiveness, I do so on the basis of how well he represents what he is. Therefore, I find a fit and handsome black man just as attractive as his white or asian counterpart. I don't favor one race over any other.

I think this tendency to compare one race to another (whites have softer hair than blacks, etc.) is where exclusive preferences develop and stack-ranking comes into play.

Look at what we are unconsciously doing in this thread: slicing and dicing and picking our favorites.

I just can't live that way, really I can't.

I would prefer to have an open mind and take life as it comes.

I'm white but I generally find ethnic guys to be attractive, particularly hispanic/latino and black men. Obviously I'm all equal opportunity and whatever but as far as physical attraction goes I prefer darker men

i think black guys are more interested in white guys...because white men "seem" more cultured. black guys tend to stick to what they know. never thinking outside the box.

Generally speaking, I'd surmise that an individuals' hookup preference would be the same as their dating preference, since mutual attraction is involved.

There are MANY guys who will fuck members of a certain race, but don't consider said race to be dating material.

At first I couldn't either...but after being in this town for five years, I've grown accustomed to the silliest shit.

The gay community...I feel outcasted, othered, and outright abhored by them. I am a African-American/Black/Negroid/Nigra/Nigger/whatever male who sidesteps the traditional role that apparently takes center stage here and I get nothing but shit for it.

My last bf I dated for 3 years, he was white/Caucasoid/Vanilla/whatever and we clicked/worked/loved each other because we understood each other, our cultures, and the surrounding communities around us (which were many because we tended to branch out as far as socially, professionally, and personally...and also because I was one foot in the boudoir the whole relationship also).

It tears me up that local LGBT activists will preach unity and outreach, but won't hesitate to cast a sour-eye to the non-white members of the community which they swear they work for...

My diatribe concludes here, I doubt it changes things as they stand.

What you people on this forum must realize is that there is only one race but the Hue-Man race - the PTB are trying hard to divide us.

In perusing the race thread below this one, I'm astounded at the overwhelming number of minority gays who assert that they like/prefer/want white guys. I myself had no idea that the phenomenon was this prevalent, and I find the trend to be disturbing to say the least.

Please explain what you meant here, particularly the last sentence.

Are you a minority and think it's wrong for guys to pursue out of their race, or are you white and think it's wrong that your race be dated.

Furthermore, to be able to navigate this site and specifically this more literature-intensive section of it, one must have a good grasp of the language. Meaning, those who read it are fluent in English and likely have had an upbringing in the western world. It makes sense to me then those people would have a higher tendency to be attracted to whites, who are represented in the media, in politics, business and so on, at much greater frequencies.

If we polled on an Asian forum, Latino forum and so on, results would differ dramatically.

I always thought, being Asian, that if somebody were to judge me on my race alone - whether it is they like me, or not - it'd be a good indication that person is inferior, closed minded and simply not up to par and hence, not worth my time.
