Of course, if that choice is made, the budgeting cuts will ALWAYS be targeted to harm the students who are poor, impaired, or handicapped - subsidized lunches and special programs are ALWAYS the first things to go.The states are more than welcome to forgo the federal funding and to see their policy on transgender and the rest of the proscriptions against homos wend its way up to the Supreme Court level.
That is a choice they can make.
Will the Friday football games, and other athletics, be cut? NEVER.
You have also reminded us, rareboy, HOW IMPORTANT the Supreme Court issue is this year. Though I have MSNBC or CNN on as "background noise" much of the time, it's at least three weeks, I think, since I've heard anybody discuss the Supreme Court. Is it going to be a completely forgotten issue AGAIN this year?
There is NO other political issue that is even close to the Supreme Court, this year, in this country. The balance on the Supreme Court is the "mother of all issues" forever and ever, at least within our lifetimes.
