Post something just for the heck of it

^ Yes, I saw 3 lifts. The videographer may be an engineer. Those 'amusement' rides don't look as big as those in the Alton Towers disaster.

The weather look cold and blustery but at least the Palm Trees are surviving.

this is so cool to look at...:)

^Only GTA fans will get this. At least the ones who played the GTA 3 ERA.

I love it when music fans do this, it's like a music video that could've happened, but unfortunately didn't. Especially when it's a song by a great band like MDC.

I think I might try to grow a bonsai Japanese maple

It's a slow evening on HT so to add a dash of excitement here's an eye-popping slide show of the soft underbelly of Southend-on-Sea. Look out for the Kursaal at 1:43.

Phew! That's enough thrills for one night. I'm off to bed.

^ Is that you and your Mum in some of those pictures?

I'm surprised they kept that German name Kursaal during the Great War. Have you been to one of those Italian style Lidos in England?

^
Lawks a mercy Pat, you mean you actually watched that? You're patheticker than I am. The only place I ever saw that called itself a lido was a sort of concrete cistern with rusty railings round it in a park in east London.

I'm still a little curious that a place called Southend is situated northwest of London.

I know there's an Essex, Sussex and Wessex, a Southampton and a Northampton but is there a Northend in Essex?

(I just went to Google and it tells me there's a Northend in West Sussex:lol:)

It's the south end of the little town of Prittlewell. When they built the railway line from the City in the 1850s, Londoners started going to the seaside in droves on their afternoon off so Southend grew until it became a town in its own right and Prittlewell shrivelled up.
