I heard that joke told by David Frost on the telly when I was a little boy. I asked my father to explain it and he told me it was a grown-up joke that only adults could understand. I'd forgotten all about it until this moment, Pat. Well I still don't get it and David Frost and my father are both dead so I suppose I'll never understand it now.

You don’t have to be very keen to see that they are now in fact desensitizing us. They are saying that everyone is brutal, and the heroes must be as brutal as the villains or they turn into fools
