I've been collecting stories that are told in the United States, by their people, among themselves, which reveal they've got a great sense of humour, but they've also got a pretty cynical attitude towards their system.

Two fellows in the US were walking down the street, and then one of them says: "Hey, we've achieved full employment; it's this and now: full employment". The other one retorts: "Hell, no: I've got a mere ten jobs, and I am still six hours a day away from achieving a forty-hour week."
 
During this week's memorial for Aretha Franklin, at Comerica Park in Detroit (where the Detroit Tigers of baseball play), the amazing happened. Whatever you believe or don't believe, I feel that it was **something** (which might be God, the Light, Gaea, spirits, whatever...) that decided it was time to give a little solace and reassurance during a somber ceremony.

I think it's because he's got dark hair and a climber's build, all muscle and tendons and no fat. He looks shorter than Alex who's about 6', but has that look which is intense and hyper vigilant. He looks directly into you, not through you. BCH has that too. It's intense, but not threatening. They're "On." When they smile, they light up, really light up. It's very magnetic and infectious. We need a little more of this in the world. No word from our nurse.

No. It is not just you. The more I learn about climbing, the more impressive it becomes.

Could I ever do that, even in my younger days? Unfortunately, I have a "little" thing about heights, especially not enclosed, and solidly supported. I do love to fly, though.

I have nothing but the utmost respect, and admiration, for all you "dirt bags"! :=D: (ww) ..| :wow:
