We ( in Europe and anywhere Trump free) tend to put the DAY first, followed by the MONTH and then the YEAR.
You'll find that most countries follow this format but then we are talking about a nation that still thinks in feet and inches

A couple of observations here.

I am involved in genealogical research. In genealogy the Day/Month/Year format is followed in giving birth, marriage, and death dates.

In my high school chemistry and physics classes in the 1970s, we learned the Metric System, and we followed the universal scientific system of rendering and recording everything with Metric measurements. Furthermore, there was a strong sense that American general society would be converting to the Metric System within the next 10 years or so. It would be advantageous to American manufacturing and so on, if we used the same system as the rest of the world.

But the right wing got ahold of this in the 1980s, spouting the usual propaganda about Metric conversion being a Communist plot, and how it would be impossible for [ mostly the old geezers] to learn a new system, and it would be costly to convert the machinery to Metric, and all that bullshit. So we're stuck with feet and yards and ounces and pounds, etc. But then again, there is no longer any manufacturing in the States. We import everything from the rest of the world, which uses Metric measurements in manufacturing the goods we buy.
