Post something just for the heck of it

Why hilarious? Some of these are amazing......particulalry the ones that subvert that tight assed Swiss existential emptiness of Corbusier's vision...

They are just modernist and some art decó stuff.. some not that bad, but they do not subvert anything. In fact, they do not even elaborate as merely follow the "emptiness of Corbusier's vision", only that they adapted it as a mere convention to built cinema theaters, and Le Corb fancied he was doing something new and great.

They are highly-coloured. These 50 year old cinemas have been recently repainted or the photographer has greatly increased the colour saturation in Photoshop (just like those Bollywood musicals).

Like mediocre Western pseudoneoclassicist architecture is not made any more appealing by painting over it, colouring up doesn't, can't add to preposterous modernism.

I say preposterousness and humour is OK for clothing and TV shows. But not architecture.

Fair enough.

I say all music written prior to WA Mozart can be classified as 'café music' and therefore can be played as background music to dining and other household pursuits. :)

That's not right but, even if it were, there is a difference, capital difference, between, XVIIIth century learned café music and XIXth century mere café music

At least, unlike crappy XXth century learned musical manierisms, those still were music 8-)
