I just watched a show about a place much like this that had turned to desert. Someone decided to bring in a pair of beavers, and within two months the shores along the beaver pond were turning green. That was twenty years ago; now there are forty beavers and the whole valley is green; the villagers even sell food to others instead of needing humanitarian aid!

Today's breakfast burrito with bacon, egg, and cheese was cheaper than this morning's coffee. That is sad. The burrito from Taco Bell was $2.29 and the medium, flavored, hot coffee from Dunkin Donuts was $2.80.

I see people line up at the nearby Starbucks and spend $6.50 for a coffee every day. I spend about $1.75 on breakfast.

I thought "the best one" was that original American version of

that Coca-Cola still vomited well into the 1980s in Spain during Christmas...

Although I always assumed the best Coke ad ever was

I may have passed by it. I know that I have gone through Breezewood, PA (in perhaps 1956) but it was so long I don't remember anything about it.

Do you shower with scented/deodorant soap?

Scented laundry detergent, fabric softener, shave cream, shampoo, aftershave, . . . ?

I use lightly scented soap. I avoid scented detergents, etc. I think the natural scent of a clean man is the best.

And for how long can a man remain "clean"? Deos and perfume maintain the hygiene beyond the bath... pretending that perfume "masks" odour is like saying that soap "masks" dirt.

It’s where all the traffic on the PA turnpike exits to go south toward DC and Virginia. I’ve never passed it without a PA state trooper sitting in the parking lot.
