I'll admit that I only skimmed, but it looks interesting. Thanks.
But, I will say this, anyway; It seems to me that it is accumulated personal wealth, the prospect of accumulated personal wealth, greed, and protecting 'what's mine' that causes people of any/all colour to not care about anyone else and go Republican.
What looks to me is that "The Right" (in the US, the Republican), peddle out to the masses the illusion they can be welcomed into the restricted circle of the "better-ones", for some of them to bite the bait and use them as some sort of "social wedge" into the larger mass... even though the "fish" themselves are not truly convinced themselves of the truth of it all, as that same inquiry shows.
