There were many brothels in ancient Rome, but standard Roman coins, Serters and Denars, were not used and were even banned from being there. Store-bought Tokens were used for Denar and Serters and images on them were often obscene.

^ Would that made him a gay man having lived comfortably exclusively among men his whole life, or would the lack of occasion for arousal make living even more peaceful for a straight man?

This strikes me as an example of one of the strange things certain religious sects find praiseworthy.

That typo "onastery" is dangerously close to the word "onanism," a slur religionists coined for masturbation. Presumably, that would have been the only sexual outlet in that poor monk's whole life, unless of course, some of the other monks surreptitiously "helped him out."

Oh please, they have been smearing Christianism with the sickest perversions, like "mortifying the body" and all that... that case quote is quite tame and more laughable than anything.

I found that in Spanish the term "christianismo" stood for what we call the Roman Catholic Church.

In the time in which... or, rather, for those who always believed you could not be a Christian unless you are a Catholic, yes... just like for the fundie Anglo protestant, a Catholic is a perverse, devilish heretical; but, even accounting for old or irregular spellings, that should rather be "cristianismo".

Right you are. I forget that χ has different transliterations in different languages.

The seal of Tutankhamun's tomb before it was opened in 1923, it was unbroken for over 3000 years.
