Post something just for the heck of it

This is nonsense.

You simply need August to start on a Friday - and as the dates of any given month skip back/forward by one day each year, and two days in a leap year, then you need only wait 5 or 6 or 7 years, or, if a leap year coincides, then the next time around at 11 or 12 or 13 or 14 years.

The last time the pic happened was August 2008.

The next time the pic will happen is August 2025.
Yes, I've pointed this out before - it's a persistent chain email that is like a Fun & Games thread (it will not die). I've been seeing it for years.

These recurring Augusts (with five Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays) occur four times in each 28-year cycle, which is the duration of time which have a number of Leap Years equal to the number of days in a week (7). In the 28 years, there is an 11-year interval, two 6-year intervals, and a 5-year interval. The 5-year interval happens only when there are two Leap Years during those five years, and the alignment of the August calendar is correct. The year-intervals between the "same Augusts" go like this: 5, 6, 11, 6...5, 6, 11, 6...

Now, some case COULD be made for the rarity of five Fridays in February, and I'm sure there's a demonstrable pattern to that as well, but interesting that nobody ever talks that way about February - it's just the months with 31 days in them. (I've seen the SAME chain email during January and July, at least, also.)

Q: Can February march?
A: No, but April may.
Q guy: June, don't July to me!
