President Obama it is!

CNN reports they have turned off the news at the McCain "party." Hank Williams Jr. is singing and the crowd is somber.

I am so happy, i almost cried when President Obama won Ohio.

I got goosebumps and had an orgasm

It's over now. Obama wins! There is really no way for McCain to win this thing. Now, I am anxious to hear about the Prop 8 results in California.

Unfortunately it looks like Amendment 2 (Define Marriage as a union of a man and woman) is going to pass.

Waiting to see the outcome of Prop 8 in CA and if the Democrats get a filibister-proof majority in the Senate. I think the Senate will be close at this point. No idea of how Prop 8 will turn out.

The only county that went Democrat in 2004 by the same margins was Travis County, which also happens to be where the city of Austin is located. (!)
Centex, any word on Crawford, TX? I'm particularly interested in knowing if the city council will allow George W to return in January? (!)

Actually, the Democrats already have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. I just saw on CNN that they have 54 seats in the Senate.

^^No. You need 60 votes to kill a filabuster.

Wow, it just goes to show that ANYBODY can win the Preidency, even if you have accomplished nothing in your political career. The first affirmative-action president.

Which means that the Democrats need 60 votes to make them "filibuster-proof" from Republican tactics to destroy any good legislation, as they have actively done the past two years, in spite of the Dems' slight majority.

(And, no, DON'T tell me that the scuzzy Joe Lieberman "caucuses with the Democrats" - I'm SICK of seeing him standing relentlessly by McCain everytime McCain campaigns somewhere. At least I'm finally done seeing that, which almost makes me want to vomit.)
