Pride Festivals 2025

Never heard of this happening. A local pride (Milwaukie, OR) is postponing their pride because of weather.
Not very often, but I've heard of stuff like that happening before. Both from heatwaves and dangerous storms.

The Boulder CO one here was cancelled/postponed once a number of years ago due to weather...but in that case it was flooding caused by a ton of rain up there.

I think I'm gonna look at my list & see if there are any pride's somewhat close tomorrow.
Would consider going... but then again, it might just be too hot for me. Pure desert weather here.

Milwaukie, OR was supposed to get a lot of rain. So was Salem, where I am and I don't think it rained in Salem at all. Not sure if it did in Milwaukie.

Sounds like indoor stuff still happened though at least.

Atleast the indoor parts will go on. :)
And yep sometimes forecast calls for rain & you get nothing (or vice-versa). Or someplace gets dumped on & a mile or 2 away there's nothing.

I did ofcourse check my list. Nothing close enough.
Plus it was really just too hot anyway. It woulda been almost like standing out in the desert .lol. (atleast being "desert" humidity isn't an issue...got down to something like 6% on sat.)

^I went to a small one today, Silverton, OR's. It was their inaugural pride, but they had an out trans mayor I believe back in the 2000's. Not sure what took them so long.

Cool. I went to the inaugural pride of a city here last year. It was really small. .lol.

Will you be attending any?
As expected, I went to nothing. Indeed, i was thinking of this recently, when I realized the Pride season was over in my area.

Not that the gay community wants me around...

Indeed, i remember years back when I was in a LGBT therapy group. A couple of people went as part of a group to the major local Pride. They babbled about that at the next week's group meeting, It left me feeling a bit alone and alienated...although I understood these people had some outside world connections with each other that I didn't have.

I could have gotten to a couple of events close to me, but there were drawbacks to both that made me decide not to bother.

I know how you feel. I've been there, too :therethere:

Don't take this the wrong way, but the gay community doesn't think about you at all.

If you want to go do something, go do it. Enjoy yourself.

Our main pride still has not happened yet. September 20th. Seems like they are holding off too long. May be cooler though.
Yeah, that seems really late for the main one!
