Project Runway Season 6

Well, I went to a few PR boards this morning and was quite pleased to see my own opinions validated. The overwhelming response was:

Winning design = hot tranny mess.

Epperson was robbed.

Logan survived because the judges thought he was cute.

Boring designers, boring designs this season.

(I think about 2/3 of all the comments used the word "boring.")
 
This is far better by a zillion miles than The Fashion Show. That show was such a joke and the designers dreck. I am glad Logan stayed because eye candy is eye candy and he is some piece of eye candy. I haven't seen any designs that were super great, and the winner last week - Mitchell's partner - was a big joke to me.

Yea I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Logan's fine ass. He's so sedate and gentle. I'm not sure on his sexuality but I think he is straight. I think the younger black guy is cute too.
 
Did I hear someone mentioning eye candies? Ah-herm. It's therefore my duty as the the resident Project Runway Eye-Candy expert to leave my comments.

Would could forget Season 1's Robert Plotkin, or his ass that he seems so eager to flash to the screen once too many times (not that I'm complaining, ah-herm), or season 2's Daniel, or Season 3's Keith, for that matter, or Season 5's Wesley...

Time and time again the producers make sure that we are pleased, and indeed, thank you, producers!

Most of the time they end up being nothing more than eye candy, but at least in the case of Daniel and Keith they really did shine as designers.

Which brings us, of course, to Season 5's Hottie, Logan. Who by the way, made me go, "Ai Papi!!! :p" when I first saw him in episode 1.

I hope he gets more onscreen time shirtless. Heehee!

Last night was much better than last week but it simply seemed like a lot of pretty cocktail dresses. Perhaps that's why the winning outfit was not another cocktail dress. Epperson's dress was okay, but a bit Toni Braxton hoochie imo.

I agree completely! His and Nina Garcia's comments were always the highlight of the show for me, personally.

I never really got why that model Fatma was so infatuated with Logan, but this last episode had a lot of close-ups on him and he was actually cute; silver pants notwithstanding.
 
I agree Logan is a hottie! We need more shots of him shirtless. And more shots of his behind.

I'm glad Qristal got aufed this week. Her dress was boring and blah.

This season is better than last season's but I agree they need to bring it back to New York. Which I also heard is happening for next season.
 
Okay, to catch up with everyone:

The beachware thing - I cannot, I mean CANNOT believe the judges liked the winning design. I looked at my Mom and thought for sure he would be in the bottom 3 and couldn't believe that they liked it. Mitchell deserved to go though!

Last week - I liked the dress that won, it was cute and I could see a lot of women wearing it but I thought Epperson's dress was just so cool and interesting, I haven't seen anything like it, it had a bit of a cool funk to it! As for Qristal's design - didn't think it was that bad but agree compared to the others in the bottom 3 it was the most boring, which is what cost her.

And how about that guest judge, Jennifer Rade? Man was she a pompous little bitch. We definitely need Michael Korhs back!!! His comments are the highlight of the show - remember the Olympic challenge? "An Olympic athlete is the closest thing we have to a superhero!"Just love him

As for the men we like - okay, am I the only one who just thinks that Christopher is adorable? He needs to come down to Houston so I can take him out on a date :) And from past seasons Rami in season 4 was my favorite - very sexy, sophisticated, smart, sweet...sigh.

Exactly - the avant garde dress looked like something a group of 12 year old girls made at a slumber party.

I never got a good look at Rami's butt, do you have any pictures Phillyurban to enlighten us? ;) Speaking of Rami, he is gay, right? I wonder if he's single :D
 
Any thoughts on this week's show? I was thinking FINALLY some kind of well-thought challenge! It was a really interesting challenge and for once, I agreed with the judges' choices. Though to tell the truth, Christopher being as cute as he is made me kind of wanted him to win.

I kind of feel sorry for Epperson, Louise and Logan this week. Logan was shown breathing TWO sentences on screen (none related whatsoever to what was his aspiration for the design, what he was going for- only cementing my belief that he was hired onto the show as the eye candy to please us), Epperson said something like '(Johnny) He is here for a reason' and I didn't even see Louise on that episode at all. Maybe once commenting on her dress...

Plus, how cute was Logan this week? Oh cutesy pie, I hope they keep you around longer for my enjoyment!oops!

What the fuck was up with Johnny making up all those lies...especially when people saw what really happened? :confused:

Nicolas is a little cunt. I'll be glad when his ass gets the boot.
 
^ Well, in my defense, I wasn't swooning over him. I just think that he's cute. He's actually the opposite of what I normally look for in a guy.

I kind of wish they had a double elimination this week; one for Johnny and one for Nicholas.

Irina's coat was nice in this past week's challenge but I also liked Christopher's. In fact I liked his better and thought he should have won.
 
i think chris is overrated. all he does is volume and theatrics. everyone wants to be the next galliano. there's a lot to be said for a designer who can create beautiful yet subtle designs.

I'm surprised they kicked off the first two who got eliminated so early. it's always interesting to see different points of view that aren't all about how many women would want to buy it
 
I think that the country girl should have won this week. Her dress was beautiful!
 
Irina's dress wasn't bad but from the comments the judges gave I thought for sure that either Christopher or Althea were going to win - Tommy Hilfiger didn't really seem to like Irina's design at all.


While Johnny really should have gone based on his design and the things he said that were made up but I was actually hoping that Nicholas would get the boot - can't stand that little prick now, he has such a bad attitude and while I agree JOhnny messed up I still don't think he's some sort of idiot that Nicholas is making himself out to be. Can't wait for Heidi or Tim to put Nicholas in his place and auf his ugly ass out.

As for Logan - sorry, doesn't do anything for me either.
 
Loved the coat and all, but I thought Althea should have won.

Why Johnny made up that silly story is beyond me. He knew the cameras had captured what really happened, and the fake story was never going to influence the judges.

I don't get all the gay love for Logan (other than the fact that he's straight, or at least claims to be. I realize some gay men will always crush on any straight guy over any gay guy.) He seems very prissy and egotistical to me.

And yes, Nicholas needs to go. He's a rotten little worm.
 
Even though I dislike Nicolas, he did do a great job on last night's episode. I don't begrudge him the win. Any of the top 3 could have been the winner.
