Project Runway, Season 9

Bah, my fav Raphael went home, so i'm not watching. This cast seems very bland and nobody seems original. Doesn't help that 2 more of my favs were the first 4 that were cut.

Anthony is already a favorite of mine, at least personality wise.. design wise, hmm.. I don't know, his design wasn't the worst, but definitely not the most beautiful either. I certainly hope he designs something better in today's episode though.

The rest.. meh. The women are so bland, well, except Anya, but I lost all interest in her when I found out about her past. So yeah.. I like Anthony and the guy further up in the thread, the hot guy in the pic.

I forgot about Bert! Bert has really good taste, and I loved his dress!

Nina Garcia RULES - you know when she makes a "statement" the rest are going along with it ! Anthony got robbed as far as I'm concerned - his bird seed dress was the most innovative.

Totally fuckin robbed. That English-Asian guy, used a ready made fabric. Exactly what Tim said u should do. Tim is so full of shit sometimes.

Tim is really starting to bug lately. Whereas Heidi has become so much more lovable to me.

Another great episode. I really dont dislike anyone this season. They're all kinda endearing to me. I was sad to see Josh go. Especially before coming outta the closet. But my favs Anya and Anthony r still there so it's cool.

i liked this episode a lot. a good challenge, ok judging, and some drama. it seems adorable bert and quiet viktor are kinda bitchy, after all. at this point, i like bryce best, personality wise. his design was one one of the worst of the evening, but im glad he still got to stay.

anthony-ryan got robbed, clearly. loved his alexander-mcqueen-birdseed look. i dont hate oliviers look, but it wasnt a winner. and i do hate his irritating faux-english accent.

mormon josh got sent home. im not sad; i guess his look was marginally better than bryces, but i think bryce has more potential. with rafael and josh being the first two to go, id like to think that the producers are trying to make a statement about how being in the closet doesnt pay; except they probably arent.

good job: anyas braid top, danielles lose weave, viktors batik-napkin-creation.

not so good: bert, whos look was just as bad as bryces and who would have been in the bottom if he didnt have immunity; cecilia and julies "this is made from crap!"-looks; kimberlys braid confusion; joshs inexplicably praised neon nightmare. fallenes look was bad, but i dont think it was bottom worthy.

I just have to say NO, NO, NO to the last episode.. I completely disagree with the judges here.

The worst dress wasn't even in the bottom 3! Julie's FUGLY paper dress was awful. It looked hideous. I mean.. really.

Then you have Olivier Green. The dress was ok, but it didn't scream chique like the judges said.. I thought it looked too puffy, too big, not well fitted, and it looked like wool. Not high fashion at all. It didn't deserve to win! It should have been at the bottom, not the winning dress ffs!

Don't even get me started on that nature dress made of leafs.. looked awful, the colors were the worst combo ever. It was a horrible dress.

Bryce's dress was too fluffy, the skirt too big, and the top was not fitted well. It was one of my least favorites. Here I actually agree with the designers.

Bert.. well, lets just say he was lucky he was safe, because that dress was.. YIKES! black and pink, really?!?! It looked like a hooker dress! And it bugs the hell out of me that he couldn't put in some effort. So what if you are safe? That doesn't mean he can just forget about the challenge! I'd rather see that he put in more of an effort.

The dresses I liked the most were actually from Anya and Viktor Luna. Both were edgy and done well. I also liked Joshua M's dress, but it was a bit too edgy, maybe even borderline tacky. It's almost like he's trying too hard. But I did like it. I also liked Anthony's dress, though I agree with th judges that it was a bit too short. The neck line of the dress was gorgeous though!

The designs I liked the least were definitely Bryce, Olivier, Becky and Julie. I'd actually prefer if Julie left. That paper dress was hideous.

I just realized I do dislike some of the assholes. I dont like Bryce. But I really cant stand that dumb ass blonde bitch that keeps reminded us shes a spoiled and high class. Bitch please

i think we have more than enough contestants with 'love to hate him/her'-potential here. personality wise the only contestant i really like at this point is bryce, but his work so far has been mediocre at best. anthony-ryan also seems ok, but i smell a slightly douchy side on him. the rest either bores me or irritates me. maybe im just grumpy.

did anybody notice how danielle seems to be getting an odd edit? they havent focused on her yet, but it seems to me like theyre trying to slowly build her up as a bitch or something. i like her designs so far and she seems like a strong contestant. i wonder how her peronality will read once the producers decide to give her a little more spotlight.

I was told that Nina tweeted that Anthony lost because she and Michael felt he copied an Alexader McQueen design too closely, but that discussion was edited out. This has happened a few times before on Runway.

None of their designs remotely say "winner" to me yet.

Next week is sure to be a bitchfest, since they're being paired off.

I do see similarities in Anthony and McQueen's designs, but I can't imagine that he thought in the pet shop that bird seed would look just like the McQueen fabric. Perhaps he was inspired by McQueen..who knows...putting seeds together to achieve this effect is extremely creative and original in its own way. The overall shape and length of the dress was perhaps too simplistic and was the deciding factor.

I liked Anthony's more as an overall look...Olivier's was kind of lumpy and too poofy, imo. I do think they were deserving of top 2 though. Olivier's skirt's ombre effect was nice and the overall look had a modern and designer shape/feel to it.

My favorite piece was Joshua's colorful aquarium rock crop-top....can't stand him though.

I actually thought Olivier deserved the win (although I would not have been upset by an Anthony Ryan win).

Anthony Ryan's design, although stunning and definitely top 3 worthy, was just a simple sheath dress with stuff glued all over it. Olivier's was much more....designed. Very editorial. It had some fit issues that made it kind of ugly on the model, but if those were fixed it would have been fantastic. (And Anthony Ryan's had some fit/execution issues too.)

I was mildly surprised that Julie was not in bottom 3 and Danielle not in top 3. I also didn't think Fallene's was as terrible as the judges made it out to be.

Overall, a great week with very few trainwrecks.

eh. im sure theres a hot guy somewhere underneath all the bronzer, overgrooming, stupid haircut, and irritating mannerisms.

I like his haircut but I'm not a fan of shaped/fem eyebrows on a man.

"alexander mcqueen!" is the very first thing that came to my mind when anthony-ryans model walked out. and in my book, thats a very good thing! i read ninas argument, and i think its bull. remember that time when kenley won the round with a dress because it reminded the judges so much of a current, popular balenciaga collection? or when korto got praised for a dress that was very similar to a DVF look?

Bert is by far the most miserable bastard in the history of Project Runway. Viktor isnt perfect and it was a little childish to be so obviously disappointed to see he was working with Bert. But I can totally see why. he is completely unbearable. He makes ANYTHING into an argument. I'm all for a villain. but it is painful to watch someone who is just so argumentative.

I'm also ready to be able to do some real designs and not just all this weird shit. Those still walkers really bothered me. But not as much as "expert" Kim Kardashian. Ugh.

What's with Olivier? Did he say that he lived in the states until he was 16 and then moved to Europe and now has a British accent? Can that happen? Am I naive - or is he pulling our legs?

Have you notice how his accent will change during the show?

Started out liking Bert, but when he slummed it on the second challenge because of his immunity, I lost all respect for him.

Anthony is emerging as this year's heartthrob -- cute with a sweet Southern accent, and he was such a gentleman toward Lauren during the judging.

Julie is refreshingly down-to-earth and clearly has a sense of humor about the PR experience. Joshua, on the other hand, comes off as a parody of a gay male, with his high-maintenance look and sibilant, pinched, reedy voice.

Anya and Olivier have chops and will be fun to watch. Brice and Victor seem more like pouting children than designers.

The rest are filling in the middle ground nicely.

Why did Fallene take the fall for the black dish scrubber tutu? I know she did nothing for the dress, but did her "partner" ever show her what she needed to do to test the material?

Bryce or Fallene...flip a coin. They both deserve to have gone. Bryce will be out soon enough.

Bert was a real dick. I felt bad for Victor, even though he is rather pretentious and snotty himself. Bert clearly made the wrong decisions and then threw Victor under the bus big time. That fabric he selected was hideous.

I thought the entire episode kind of sucked. The winning design was rather boring and safe too.

I'm looking forward to next episode...designing for Nina. She seems like she'd be the client from hell...
