Project Runway

^Well I guess you learned not to look at a shows' facebook page while the show is on.

I actually don't agree with the winning look - to me, the look was well done, don't get me wrong, but it made the model look a lot longer than she was, in a bad way. It may be just me, but the length of the dress made her look almost anorexic and elongated. As much as I didn't like Kini(or Kimi), I think his look could have won.

As for the losing side, I agree with everything.

I have to disagree with you. I liked the winning look. The blue fabric and the design with the fringe and the black at the bottom of the dress makes it an interesting red carpet unique look. I am also glad he redeemed himself from being on the bottom in the last two challenges.

As for the losing side, Kristine's dress was horrible and too much boobage showing. She deserved to go home. I thought Korina's emerald green dress was bad. The color was not great and it was ill fitting. I thought she should have gone home too. Mitchell's red dress was bad too. As much as I did not want him to go home, because he is from Ft Lauderdale, and I was rooting for my home team designer he deserved to go home too.

What Boggles my mind is Sandhya spent over $400 for the fabrics for her gown, which is almost double of every other designer, and she only was safe. Not that I liked her design at all. This just shows that she is not a great designer!

Anyone else watch this week's show? Any comments?

I don't know why Charketa agreed to Sandhya's yellow dresses idea. By going with the Tweety Bird Yellow it sent her packing.

As far as Sean winning over Kini I was disappointed. Kini designed his dress and Sean's pants. Sean only designed and created the top. I thought Kini should have won not Sean.

So far, in Season 13 Sandhya, Amanda, and now Sean are in the two-time winners club.

What did everyone else think of this week's show? Any comments?

The previous week's show was the Chopard Jewelry challenge. I was very surprised Tim Gunn used his save and brought back Char. She is a good designer but has never been in the top in any of the competitions so far. So, as good a designer as she is, she's not great and I don't think she should have brought back in my opinion. In fact in this week's competition she said she was glad to be safe. The whole idea of a competition is too be in the top and possibly the winner.

I was glad to see Korina win this week's challenge. I thought her coat and evening gown really highlighted the Chopard Jewelry very well.

As far as the person being sent home this week, Samantha's dress was safe and it was a bit sloppy.

This week's challenge was the avante-garde Rainway Challenge. I thought this challenge was the most unique challenge of the history this show!

Sean's dress that changes color was very cool and unique! I was glad to see him win again. Kini's umbrella dress was also cool and unique. I was glad that he also win this week. It was about time. He is a great designer.

Fade's dress did not connect to anything to do with rain which is why he was sent home.

I think the other designers need to step it up a notch and take some risks. It seems the same people are always in the top. If the other designers want to win they have to work harder for it.

Any comments? I would like to hear what other viewers are thinking.

Next week's challenge involves the American Girl dolls.

Tim Gunn also made a statement this week saying this was the best Runway show ever of the history of the show!

thought i'd gibve my two cents ;)

overall i think the last couple of seasons as been lacking in orginality. the designers are referrencing way to much of other peoples work.

about the rainway episode

Kini's dress the "umbrella" skirt has been done soooo many times. he is some very good skills but all of his work is referrencing somone else. like the judges said this look was a basic knock of the mcqueen fall 2009 . his diamond episode dress allthough it was pretty it was also referrencing very heavy the style of Dior especially the spring couture 2007 collection

Sean's was okay but very mcqueen.. he did that dress one collection that was all white where 2 robots sprayed paint on it on the runway but he took a risk and i applaud that :)

Fade's was actually a very nice dress but like the judges said where was the connection to the rain which i agree with.

SandHya < i really enjoy because her designs are orginal questionable sometimes but orginal she also the only one who has a really strong point of view.

Amanda i cant stand.. her interviews and her interaction is so fucking awfull her designs can be pretty nice though...

Emily needs to go, also Alexander.... looking forward to see what Char can bring...

I loved Kini's avant-gard design. I didn't care for the dress with dye packets sewn in.

This week's Challenge was the American Girl Doll Challenge.
The Top 3: Korina
Kini
Char
I was glad to see Char finally made it to the top 3 after being safe in almost every challenge. Kini deserved the win I think. He has now won 2 in a row.

The Bottom 3: Sean
Sandhya
Emily

Sean definitely played it too safe this week. Emily's design was drab and boring. Sandhya's design definitely looked like a onesie. I personally never liked any of her designs. Sandhya was sent home this week.

What did everyone else think about this week's winner and loser?

I think it was Sandhya's time - I didn't get the pink one piece, and finally, the judges didn't think it was an intricate masterpiece. Hwever, had Emily went home, I wouldn't have minded either... she did WAY TOO MUCH for that little girl. What's the rule about fashion, get dressed in all, but take one thing off before you go? Something like that. That silly ass veil didn't even need to be made.

Also, much as I didn't think I'd like Kimi much, he changed what he was going for at first and pulled out a WELL deserved win there - kudos to him for taking the almost invincible Sean down. I'm also glad that Char made it to the top 3 - the way she pulled off the fringe worked for the challenge, so hey, sometimes listening to your gut works. Now she just needs to pull off a win!

this week:

i totally thougth Kini was a snoozed he just made a redesign of what the doll was already wear and put on a mini chanel jacket

Sean was just so boring aswell

i was very sad to see Sandhya go she was for me one of the orginal ones and i liked her onesize and think a more eccentric child would def wear it (and they do excist)

Char was okay.. Korine's was really badly made.....

Emily should have gone her clothes was just so boring all the time

Glad the judges finally stopped sucking at the teat of Sandhya. She did not deserve any of her wins.

Why is Alexander winning the fan favorite vote every week? He's a cute dude and seems very nice but I have not been impressed with his designs thus far.

Excuse me....but I'm wearing the fuck outta that veil while slinging back cocktails and typing. ;)

There was a mouth hole, or are you wasting a perfectly good cocktail?

And, has Alexander been winning that? How... WHY?! He must have a lot of friend watching the show - I don't see him making it anywhere closer to the top 3(or four) than he already is.

He must have lots of friends out there voting for him. I don't see him winning any challenges. His designs have not been that good.

I saw a Facebook post last week about New York Fashion week and the PR contestants showing there. I didn't click and read b/c I didn't want to spoil the finale anymore than the photo shown in the post already had, but if the three contestants it displayed do in fact show at Fashion week... let's just say someone eliminated is coming back. Otherwise it was misleading bullshit.

It's possible someone eliminated could be coming back. I have a feeling it was misleading BS.

This week's Challenge was to randomly select a Muse and do a Makeover.
The Top 3 this week:
Emily
Kini
Korina
I did not like Emily's dress. It was too costumey. I liked Kini's denim jacket and dress. I liked Korina's leather jacket and dress. She won this week! But I think she is getting a bit cocky!
The Bottom 3 this week:
Char
Alexander
Amanda
Char's red shorts outfit was horrible. I don't think she should have gotten an extra 10 minutes to replace her model's zipper. I understand why they did. They did not want the model to go out on the runway exposed and be embarrassed. Amanda's dress and vest were poorly executed. I did not like the fabric she chose for the dress. It was ugly. The vest was not bad. Alexander's dress was ugly. The fabric was terrible and it was not flattering on his model. Alexander went home this week! He deserved to go. As the youngest designer on this season's show he still has a lot to learn as a designer. This week Again, Alexander won Fan Favorite! He must have loads of friends that are voting for him.

I would like to hear everyone else's opinions and comments about this week's show. Let me know what you thought!
