I don't think those judges know what avant garde is.
Dmitry has, at most, two ideas. And is consistently praised for executing those two ideas very well.
Justin's look was the most avant garde, the most original, and the riskiest look. He can be hit or miss, but with some finesse and a little more time, and perhaps some better fabric, this could have been great.
Once again, I liked what Michele was going for earlier in the challenge, and for some reason it came out a mess.
I love Helen's work, but I don't think this was avant garde and was quite boring. Also a terrible color.
Jesus Christ, why does Fabio keep using pink? Not a great idea. Not very well executed.
