I must admit I am enjoying all this weeping and wailing and knashing of teeth. It makes the victory so much more satisfying.

While I really wouldn't have wanted Trump, and Hillary would have been the lesser of two evils (and Sanders would have been the best option, as he had plans that would have benefitted all Americans), the extreme overreaction from the left is a strange cross between aggravating and hilarious. Also, it's funny how they don't realize that they're basically sabotaging themselves by reacting in such a way. They're giving people an excuse to vote for Trump in 4 years, and if they don't want that to happen, they better stop acting like spoiled children who didn't get their own way for the first time in their lives.

Bullshit. It's because the country elected Trump, a narcissistic, psychopathic manic to the presidency, not because of spoiled children not getting their way. You would not see this reaction at all if Hillary had lost to a reasonable and responsible person...say John Kasich.

I never said the right was more tolerant, quote the part of my post where I said they were. I am not at all defending what those people were doing, and you are putting words in my mouth and making assumptions.

I'm just pointing out that the left is just as regressive, intolerant, and hypocritical. This is why I don't identify as either liberal or conservative, because when I look at both directions and see extremist bullshit.

He was given many 'breaks' every day to show us that he was worthy of being president. He didn't. In fact, he proved just how unqualified he really is. We can only think that he will run the presidency the way he ran his campaign.

HE has shown us they way he really is. We cannot expect him to change. He's had a lifetime to become what he is. He's not about to change.

I don't reddit, buy my buddy read me some pieces from a discussion about Trump. Apparently some of his colleagues have been watching the whole campaign with humor, because in their experience Trump shoots off his mouth a lot but when it comes to getting the job done he assembles teams that know what they're doing and puts them to work. They think he'll actually be a good president because that's what he'll do with everything: call together experts and go with their recommendations.

I hope that's the case, and there are signs it may be; he's already put together a few such teams, including one for the Second Amendment.

Those like the one in Portland might serve to do that, because they were peaceful but not backing down.

Police complained they were parading without a permit, but I say the First Amendment is their permit:

Congress shall make no law ... abridging ... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

A peaceful protest qualifies, in my book.

It doesn't matter on what party affiliation someone is, anyone can see extreme bullshit. What you are trying to prove is no surprise to anyone, you are pointing out hypocrites and extremists, that exist on both sides of the fence. Congratulations, what a revelation that may be to you. This isn't a fight between between party affiliation, which is what you seem to be sticking to, I am sure there are plenty of people who are registered as Democrat, Independent that voted for Trump as well.

What you pointed out and what I pointed out is completely different, you're pointing out things that happened on the internet, I am pointed out the negative impact this is already happening in real life. There is a difference in the anger and hate that is coming from the people who did vote for Trump and didn't. Party affiliations is not the problem here.

Liberals want to believe that all Republicans are bad so they welcome a swaztika as confirming their own hatred. The swaztika could just as easily have been made by a liberal wishing to create false evidence. It happens frequently.

The mentality is there. It is clear. It is show and it is spoken. You don't have to see thousands of Swastikas to know that there are others when you see one. You don't have to see thousands of white sheets and hoods to know that there are others when you see one.

Free speech in the US makes it permissible to let everyone know who and what you are. You don't have to hide.

I am basing my opinion on the whole electorate and years of paying attention. I also followed the people on Facebook who were particularly vehement...I like to know my enemy...and it only took a few scrolls to find the racism.....every time....it was like clockwork....

Social media was a breeding ground to see this kind of stuff, unless one was actually at one of his rallies. These things popping up is absolutely no surprise to people who were actually paying attention, it just means that even knowing that this shit would happen doesn't make it any less disgusting.
