Question about sexual assault

Neil, grow up and don't stir the pot. Don't you get enough attention at home? You'd think someone your age would know better.

Sour grapes eh? Well, you didn't accept any one's answer from within their relationship, so what else is there?

And don't sweat it about Canada, we have standards, we don't let just anybody in. I doubt you'd make the cut.

On the contrary, there were no answers from within their own relationships posted. You see, to have an answer concerning a relationship question, both people need to be involved. But all I've seen posted here is "I can answer for both of us, I'm sure we're fine! They don't need no fiddly 'extra' information to make decisions with".

It's just several paragraphs of adults declaring they don't need explicit or implied via facial/vocal/body-language permission. Not even a brief convo in the past is mentioned as a reasoning. No, it's all "But I love....." and "I'm married!". There's nothing regarding a two or more person decision anywhere.

^ You're the one stirring the pot by throwing Canadian law where it doesn't belong. Our laws have no more to do with them than their laws have to do with us.

Seriously, have you EVER been in a loving and passionate relationship?

Say you have a boyfriend of many years. You two have sex on a regular basis. One night you wake up in the middle of the night and your boyfriend is deep asleep. You fondle him and jerk him off. He's unconscious the whole time.

Is that considered sexual assault?

Unconscious the whole time and asleep the whole time is completely different. Unconscious implies drunk or drugged.

Pointing that out doesn't help, people seem to be stuck on "I can do what I want, they signed up for something almost similar (awakeish sex) at an earlier date!". Unless you've taken a sleeping pill or have a disorder or some such, people generally wake up when getting handjobs. I kept trying to discern between 'wake up sex' and unconscious fucking, but noooooo, not a peep from anyone about any of the intricacies brought up via ignorance. Vanilla people have some of the most dangerous ideas on consent I've ever seen.

I still don't understand why saying something about it seems like such a big deal.

Because talking about sex like adults is awkward and someone might judge you. Or, horror of horrors, say "No thanks, not interested." with regards to particular acts. Personally, if your sense of self is that fragile and it can't stand a "No" to a question then ya'll prolly shouldn't be fucking in the first place. Could be a reason those assault numbers are so high. I'm not guessing there, either; I know that's involved.

-About the comment above this one - it's still a good idea to get an 'I like it/it's fine' answer to "Do you like wake-up sex". Cuz some people don't. Assuming usually just makes an ass out of the person doing it. Among other things.

So should everyone seek consent for every single sex act performed on their lover during every single encounter?

"Can I kiss you?"
"Can I remove your clothes?'
"Can I remove my clothes?"
"Can I talk to you using naughty language?"
"Can I allow blood to flow to my penis and get an erection?"
"Can I view your naked body?"

"Yes, yes, I know we did it last night, but that was a whole 24 hour ago. Today is different."

Considering you think it's ok to walk up to a woman and grab her by the pussy, your opinion is not worth much.

You are also completely ignoring the OP. He said unconscious. Having sex or sexually touching anyone that's unconscious is assault. He also titled the thread a question about sexual assault. I'm pretty sure he knew what responses he was going to get, or he was hoping for.

The said asleep. Don't be such a drama queen.

And, for your dumb Trump comment, If it was all true, why didn't the women lay charges 20-30 years ago? It's all BS. Besides, that is old news. Kilary is now on the ropes. Bwaa haa haa.

^ what a Donald Trump answer. Have you been writing his speeches?

Because they didn't suffer long lasting harm.
They came out because they don't want him to rule the country. As simple as that.

Lots of people don't want the opposing candidate to rule the country, that doesn't give them permission to make unsubstantiated accusations. It'll be interesting to see what happens to these claims once the election is over.

Like the ones Trump himself makes about Hillary?

The differentiation between awake, asleep and intoxicated in this topic has already been addressed.

Sorry but it's unconscious. Not asleep. The OP made the distinction of him being "unconscious the whole time"

The OP clearly meant unconscious as in asleep.
