When one considers the fact that it was just a movie, the questions and the interpretations of the scenes that I read here are testimony of the power of the script and the actors. I loved the movie, and I have the DVD. My favorite scenes were the kissing in the woods and the dancing at the end. Those boys really captured my heart.

I became a big Mama cass fan since this movie. Kinda like to believe that 'Make Your Own Kind of Music' is gay favourite song.

Anyway, I like British gay themed film. This one, Get Real and Touch Of Pink are gems.

I don't want to make this a habit, but why did Sandra look left and right after she let Ste into the apartment (with the yellow bag-- "gift for Noleen")?

This was before they decided to go to the Gloucester together--and thus presumably before she found out.

Did she have her suspicions before she saw the Gay Times?

Also, did you notice the way Steve coughed as he passed the mail-box? Was that some kind of subliminal gay-thing i.e. "Male's Box"??

Or the way that Noleen held the coffee in her left hand, even though she opened the packed of buiscuits with her right hand?

What's with that?

It's been a while since I've seen this film...this string brings back memories! The first time I saw it actually triggered a lot in me - it ultimately caused me to finally resolve one of my festering dilemmas in life and 'officially' come out to my parents at the tender age of 27.

Just thinking of this flick brings back those old emotions. It's hard to explain - I really get an appreciation for my exerpiences by watching it - with a twinge of regret.

And the last scene gets me every time.
