Radiohead - Staircase

The bf and I will be attending the St. Louis show two weeks from today! It will be my fourth Radiohead show, his first. I'm not too keen on it being in a hockey arena, but at least I'm in GA and should get there early enough to be close up on the floor, provided it's standing and not seated I hope.

Hoping to visit the City Museum while we're there. Looking for lodging is a bitch though. Fucking hotels without free parking is an atrocity.

Radiohead’s Kid A and OK Computer, composed entirely as old school video games
After releasing OK Computer, an album about technological malaise at the close of the 20th century, Radiohead released the spartan and sterile Kid A, an LP even more devoted to alienation.

And in a charming retro turn, composer Quinton Sung has transformed Kid A's dystopian soundscapes into the background music for an Atari game. I imagine Q*Bert listens to this when he's worried if he possesses the evolutionary faculties to navigate the modern media superstructure.

Radiohead to Begin Recording Ninth Album in September

Radiohead will begin rehearsing and recording its ninth studio album in September, according to the band’s guitarist Jonny Greenwood.

"We're going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it's sounding,” Greenwood said during Mary Anne Hobbes' BBC 6Music show on July 12.

Nothing saying whether Clive Deamer will be joining them. I was kind of hoping he would.
Anyway, they've said this before about recording a new album and every time it's another two years until out of nowhere it comes out in a week. I'll anticipate it then.
