and hes covered in tattoos either a sleeve or neck tattoo or some unattractive large tattoo on his back the size of Texas. Nowadays you can hardly open your eyes without seeing someone with an ugly tattoo. 1 or 2 small ones are decent but come on don't ruin your nice skin with tats!

This cute Indian guy on my facebook was talking about getting a sleeve on his arm. ( I deleted him quickly after) its like you have nice beautiful skin and you want to ruin it.

it seems like soon a person gets out of high school they do the following.

A: Have a kid at a young age
B: becoming a alcoholic Or a druggie or pot head or all 3
C: Fucking up your body with tattoos
D: Fucking up your life in general
E: All the above

I know you want to express your self but theirs tons of things to do to express your self besides marking up your body. I'm a huge fan of game shows but I'm not going to have every game show logo tattooed on my body [-X

I know i rant about this before but gosh its getting much worse!

I have never gotten a tattoo because I'm a rebel. :-)

I have seven tattoos on my body, all in different spots, and I don't regret getting any of them. They each have significant meaning to me and I think that if people want to get tattoos, regardless of what size they are, what type they are, or where they are placed, then so be it. Tattoos are a way for people to express themselves and their individuality. I don't think that it messes anything up about the person.

I agree completely with the OP.

Tattoos ruin the look of a guy's torso and arms - it's the one thing that annoys me when I see a beautiful picture of a guy ruined by some huge, pointless pattern of ink on their skin.

Unfortunately, it's now becoming almost an obsession with guys because of some cultural pressure, probably from the hip-hop community.

I really do wish guys would think twice before permanently ruining their looks with these stupid things.

Does anyone you know go to college? What a terrible social circle.

Nicely done tattoos are beautiful. Tiny ones are such a token nod that they are laughable, but the big bold ones I really go for.

Jeeze

guess the screws me several ways.

As a recovering alcoholic with 6 tattoos I fit your pattern. Tattoos are not for everyone, but many of us who have them are just nice guys who like tattoos. Personally, I find good ink very sexy.

We all have our preferences, don't we? I'm not a fan of ink because it's permanent and the state of one's body isn't. When does that dragon become an elephant?

When it comes down to it, a person has rights over their body. Others, of course, have a right to their own likes and dislikes. Ce la vie.

There are all kinds of groups that get tattoos, from bikers to metal heads, to scene kids, to strippers and porn stars.

Tats in hip-hop are a relatively new thing as far as a I've seen. I think that expanded from sports, as Dennis Rodman was the first black guy in sports to start getting lots of tattoos.

So, the cultural pressure is coming from all directions.

I have terrible skin discoloration on my back and I had never thought about it until reading this thread - I can get a tattoo and cover it up! Except I am a wuss and wonder how much it will hurt, but its definitely an option.

Um, Usedcar? Have you meet our Jasun? He's a college graduate who probably makes more money than you will ever see in your life....and he has "a couple" ;) of tattoo's.....

I'm sure you are a nice guy, but you put way to much emphasis on someones appearance......

That's OK. This way, they don't have to bother getting to know you to find out that you're overly judgmental about a guy's personal decisions on how to decorate his own body.

I have an half of sleeve on on my arm aand a little more tattoo's. I don't know about many other people who have tattoo but the ones that I have mean a lot to me. I look at it as art; yes art could be on paper or on walls but its on "ME" just because I have tattoo dont's make me a bad person. Some people like you post judgement before you get to know them. To bad tattoos make you feels this way
