Real Avatars..... Please!

I'm not really a big ass bear sleeping on a pillow, but the bears describe me as a person, I'm big, hairy, cuddly, and fuzzy. Like a big teddy bear.
 
I suppose I actually prefer people using a symbolic representation of their desires, ethos or personality in their avatars rather than their own picture. I couldn't care less if the person is fabulously good looking or not and don't get any better sense of them by seeing what they look like....but for all you guys out there who have those killer smiles in your actual pics, (like Chance) thank you! It is always a lift to see them.

I find it interesting that this entire thread was started by someone who has objectified a chunk of anatomy as their avatar.

My case is similar to Rational´s: my avatar is just an optical illusion.
