Realistically, Who's Really Gonna Win the 2008 Presidential Election?

Didn't I hear that Richardson had withdrew from the contest .. so IF this is TRUE, he is GONE ....
I believe that America is sick and tired of the Republician way of life ... abd the only two Democrats whoI believe stand a chance are Clinton or Obama ....
But; with Obama being raised a Muslim as well as the beliefs of his current church; I believe that will come out and hurt his chances ....
When all is said and done ... our next president will have to be Hillary Clinton.
OBAMA WAS NOT RAISED A MUSLIM!!!! That's a false rumor spread by his enemies (no, not his opponents, his ENEMIES). I favor Clinton, and I hope you're right, but that story about Obama is untrue.

However, he did spend time in a Muslim school (as well as Catholic), and both his grandfather and father are Muslim, so there is some truth to it...but that shouldn'y matter....

If anything, that should be something good....

However, he did spend time in a Muslim school

My understanding was that he was in a public school in Indonesia, which happened to be almost all Muslim due to the local demographics. I'm not claiming to know the truth, but if you're living in an area (say, in the southern U.S.) where the population is 95% Christian, and you go to public school - SAME THING - somebody who has an agenda to spin things might well say you attended a "Christian school."

Even if in the "worst case scenario" (a description which does NOT describe my own beliefs!!, by the way), if it were to turn out he had indeed attended a Muslim school, he did not reach adulthood observing that religion.

Beware: Where there's even the slightest wisp of Muslim smoke, the spinmeister enemies of Obama - including entire TV or Cable networks such as Faux News - will do their best to fan that tiny wisp of smoke into a massive, destructive fire which they hope will entirely consume Obama.

When making sure the U.S. elects another Re-Thug-Again president, no dirty tricks, whether in the media, or using the attack dogs, or rigging the vote, are too extreme.

Saying Obama has spend time in a Muslim school will get the same response that the Clinton campaign received when they said he wanted to be President in elementary school, its a non issue.

As far as who will win I don't know but I think McCain and Obama are the front runners and the media has a love affair with them right now.

However, in this case, I think that the background is worth noting if for no other reason than to point out that he does have insight into the Muslim mind that no other candidate can match.

Minor point, but one worth noting...

As for media darlings, Keep in mind that Clinton is part of that short list, mainly because they love Bill and that she is appearing more human every day. But I definitely agree with Obama and McCain (the latter because without him, it's not going to be an interesting election).
