I don't have a "feel" for any particular winner. I think in the end it will come down to a contest between Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. Personally, I'd like to see Hillary as President and John Edwards as Vice President.

So you are voting for Edward because he is a WHITE MALE.. well its no surprise. Its how the majority of America's feel anyway...

I don't mean to speak for him, but I think that what he is saying is he thinks that Edwards has the best chance of winning over the Republicans. When it comes to the South, will they vote for a woman or an african american? They are so backwards over there....I have no idea what they are willing to do. California and New York would have no trouble voting for a woman or someone of any race. But that is not enough to win.

Personally, I think that people should have to pass a very basic competency test before being allowed to vote. For example, they should know what State they live in, know their own name, be able to find the United States on a World map, be able to find the State they live in on a map of the United States, etc. Look at the 25% of the people that still think Bush is doing a good job. Those people are just in denial and nuts.

Hillary Clinton.

Oh god no not John Mccain he said bush was doing a good job once.

YAY! Racism! Dude,do you ever bother reading these things called "newspapers" or watching any kind of news? It's racist attitudes like yours that will get Edwards in place. Unless something really untoward happens, the Dem ticket will most likely have Clinton or Obama on it.

As the South has a number of women and black leaders, I really don't see the issue. And isn't Hllary a white man? I'm confused...

Re: Crash: If the only way to make a movie relevant is to make practically everyone on the cast racist, I really debate the movie is relevant...

I hope hope hope it's a Democrat. I'm totally worried that Huckabe won Iowa...that's not a good sign. BUT..he is sooo far out there he might not win a general election.

Keep your fingers, toes and everything else crossed!!

Don't worry about Huckabee, he wont win. I think that he is something like 5th place in the Republican polls throughout the country. Iowa is just trying to be different by pulling out the born agains and evangelicals.

I like Edwards better than Clinton and Obama because he is not suckng up to the health insurance companies. We need a complete overhall with our health care system and I don't want the health insurance companies to influence it. They have already proven time and time again how disgusting they can be.

On the dem side - either obama or hillary can win the general

On the repub side - either mccain or rudy can win the general

for a repub to win - there will have to be a significant (even moreso than now) improvement in iraq (and there could be) and the dem candidate would have to make mistakes, significant mistakes

I think he lists "WHITE MALE" not necessarily because he'll vote for Edwards (if his state has a primary and he goes), but because he's realistically assessing where the U.S. public is "at." He wouldn't be my first, second or even third choice (all of whom have either already dropped out, or are being shut out of the debates). but I think either of the other two frontrunners will have trouble beating a slick, lying Re-Thug.

By the way, on an unrelated topic, is there any news on where the revision of the Electoral Votes law for California stands? I believe they need to get enough signatures for a ballot initiative first, right? I hope it doesn't happen, because the Re-THUG-agains will work their hardest to get such a thing passed *ONLY* in Demoncrapic states to make sure Re-Thug-Agains will rule (and ruin) everything.

Hillary Harassed by Sexists Saying "Iron My Shirt"

....

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign stop was interrupted Monday when two men stood in the crowd and began screaming, “Iron my shirt!” during one of her final appearances before the New Hampshire primary.

Clinton, a former first lady running to become the nation’s first female president, laughed at the seemingly sexist protest that suggested a woman’s place is doing the laundry and not running the country.

“Ah, the remnants of sexism — alive and well,” Clinton said to applause in a school auditorium.

The two men were removed from the hall after raising a pair of signs that said, “Iron my shirt!” They also shouted the same slogan. [. . .]

“As I think has been abundantly demonstrated, I am also running to break through the highest and hardest glass ceiling,” she said.

Clinton later joked about the incident as she invited questions.

“If there’s anyone left in the auditorium who wants to learn how to iron a shirt, I’ll talk about that,” she said with a smile.

Except that viewpoint is outdated. We have plenty of leaders that aren't white or male at all levels. The sole exception to that is president, and I think that it's about time. Edwards simply can't win; he can get votes, but in the final analysis he is trying too hard to be the antithesis to Clinton and Obama. Without them, he doesn't have a shot...

The only Republican that has a chance of getting the nom and doing something with it is McCain; he's got the experience and the ability. The rest are either too religious in a year where religion is a bad thing (Huckabee and Romney), are running just to run (Thompson), and basically shouldn't be running but are fun to watch (Paul). Juliani is toast; his current history and attitude are going to sink him.

A Clinton/Obama ticket would be interesting...

Didn't I hear that Richardson had withdrew from the contest .. so IF this is TRUE, he is GONE ....
I believe that America is sick and tired of the Republician way of life ... abd the only two Democrats whoI believe stand a chance are Clinton or Obama ....
But; with Obama being raised a Muslim as well as the beliefs of his current church; I believe that will come out and hurt his chances ....
When all is said and done ... our next president will have to be Hillary Clinton.
