Dear KaraBulut & others...
Is it possible for a guy to have a recurring anal/rectal yeast infection? Is it at all common?
Every once in awhile I've always found the skin between my bum-cheeks (hehe) and further down, (aka right on my anus) to become very irritated, especially when being wiped with toilet paper or when water comes into contact with it in the shower.
Lately it's been more specifically than ever the anus itself, which led me to think perhaps my HPV warts were returning. However, since being all cleared up almost a year ago, whenever I've gone to the clinic for a check-up all they tell me is that I'm fine now, and the skin just looks a little dry or irritated.
But it's more than just dry/irritated. It can feel just awfully sore, and Monistat makes it better every time.
Is this reasonable? Would it happen every two months or so in a guy? And, would my yeast intolerance (baker's and brewer's) have anything to do with it?
Thanks!!!
