Red Wings vs Penquins for Stanley Cup

I didn't and still don't see yours, sorry -

love ya!

Wings in 5

I wish you had had them merged. Our love fest is so very special!

Right up unto the point when we check you into the boards and you respond with high sticking...

but other than that, the love is so real!

until we throw down the gloves...

but love, love love!

Do you like octopus? You;ll be seeing a lot of them the next 5 games!

Stacy, I do appreciate you! I know we'll have fun and peace with each other despite the ultimate stakes rivalry.

Octupus and Penguins. Not sure they go well together...

It's the Old Dogs vs. the New Kids. Make sure those Gatorade cups are filled with Geritol.....

Love. Much love...

You do know you will be seeing lots of octopi... ..|

Its the soaring of the Red Wings high in the sky over the flightless fat birds... :gogirl:

are we game threading Saturday night?

I've been telling everyone who will listen (and even a few who won't) that this is the year for the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup.

I saw them win in March in Columbus and they looked too good. And they racked up the best record in the NHL while seemingly "flying under the radar." The media wasn't talking a whole lot about them.

To their credit, the Dallas Stars gave them a good challenge in the Conference Finals. (I saw Dallas win twice last December, as well.)

I'm from Philadelphia. This year's Flyers are so easy to like. And their turnaround, from dead last in the league last year to Cup semifinalists this year, is awesome. Pittsburgh won handily and will be a test for the Red Wings, but I think they'll only get one win in these finals. Detroit in 5.

Are they real? Are they still alive when they are (or I guess 'were' being the operative word now) being thrown?

I am still horrified...

Oh well, tradition is tradition after all. I am sorry for you Jack.

PUT THE OCTOPUS DOWN!

The NHL has banned Octupi tossing in Detroit...

The NHL will back off of the octopi ban as they must, as they have several times this Stanley Cup season.

Octopi will be thrown, and gathered up before the Zamboni guy does his thing on the Zamboni - except he will no longer be able to twirl octopi while on the Zamboni, he will have to twirl the gathered octopi at the ramp where the Zamboni machine enters.

The octopi are cooked, uncooked octopi would be a smelly mess. Boiled octopi don't smell and they hold together.

It is just what we do.

For the freaked out folks: this is something to think about perhaps over a shrimp and cod dinner, some sort of seafood buffet, maybe a home meal, we can stop and get calamari and squid at the Whole Earth Foods. Unless you prefer fried fish from long John Silvers.
