I'm feeling much better this evening though ..| Regarding the virus, generally I am careful, but other people are not. For example, I went into my local takeaway this evening, and there were twice as many people inside as there should have been and none of them were wearing masks ](*,) :##:

However, if he is from Ireland, i.e., the Republic of Ireland, then no, he is most definitely not from the UK or Great Britain. Actually, Northern Ireland is not in Great Britain. If you've ever watched the Olympic Games and seen a Brit, you will have heard them described as representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland. All very confusing I know.

Ummm K.! SO ... Britain is the largest of The British Isles, with Ireland being the second biggest. Great Britain is Britain, plus the smaller isles it holds dominion over. The Republic of Ireland is only 5/6 of Ireland, with Northern Ireland being anchored by Belfast, which is in the Province of Ulster, which consists of 9 counties, but only 6 of those are Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is not part of the U.K., but Northern Ireland is, along with England, Scotland (for the time being) and Wales, which are on Great Britain, but Northern Ireland isn't because it's on Ireland. And, the U.K. is leaving the E.U., but The Republic of Ireland isn't. Right? What? :confused: #-o

It all reminds me of these 'riddles' ...

My paternal grandparents were Irish and I couldn't give a fuck whether Ireland should be whole or not. I'm just glad that the terrorists no longer leave bombs in public places in England.
