How have my JUB ladies been?

Good afternoon my dear Miss Fuzz-Face

Hope you are doing well. We have gotten hot too soon this year. It's been 104F for the last week but will drop to the 80s next with rain Friday. Guess you have the normal gloomy English weather.

Lived 84 years without a cell phone but got one Tuesday. Can make and receive calls, but not much else. Will get help from a friend to learn more. Also dumped the slow DSL from the phone company and have high speed wi-fi now.

Wish I could find roast beef and Yorkshire pudding here in the colonies.

Our weather is as usual varied

How have you survived this long without a cell phone?! I like being able to send and receive texts, don't make or receive many phone calls. I mostly use my phone for online stuff though, especially Youtube as I like to listen to audiobooks etc, to help get me to sleep. and I'd be lost without my wifi

Hello, my dear Mr. Fluff-Butt Sorry for the late reply but thank you for the Easter wishes. I hope you had a happy Easter I had to work again, (just like last year) so I missed out on dinner with family Gonna have to plan ahead next year and make sure that doesn't happen again.

Indeed they did You are correct, the table wasn't close by the time we clinched the title. There were closer times though but the nearest challengers kept messing up while the lads kept focused, dug deep and got the points they needed.

Do you ever use Youtube? You should at least be able to watch highlights of games on there.

Yes, we are. The trophy wasn't presented until after Sunday's game, when the Premier League season ended. And of course the players and staff were able to celebrate with the fans this time whereas they couldn't in 2020 because of Covid.
On Monday there was a 10 mile parade through the city, where it's estimated that at least 750,000 people attended in person. I was one of those

However, there was a terrible incident at the conclusion of the parade, whilst many people were still present on the streets. A maniac in a car decided to drive through crowds of people, injuring dozens. Thankfully, despite some serious injuries, there have been no fatalities.

Ten-mile parade. Could you even see over all the people or did you get there before dawn for a place in the front row.

That idiot in the vehicle would have to spoil the joy. Was he a hooligan from another team? He was lucky the crowd didn't stomp on him really good.

So, lets lift a pint of Giuness to the victory. (I am using the new computer and not yet loaded my photos. Just imagine two tall, frosty glasses of that great brew) yummy. Wish we had it on tap here. Must make do with cans and bottles. When I lived in Santa Monica many years ago, there was an Irish pub that was called the Mucky Dick that had it and other UK beers, all without ice. Next door was the Chip Inn. Loved to go there Friday evenings with lots of live Irish music, singing and fish and chips.

Our weather has been somewhat hot at only 90 - 100F. But do not worry, 120 is on its way.

Not doing all that well. Walking trouble, you know. And get very tired very quickly. Get out only a couple times a week.

Impressive parade! That number is not far from the entire population of Liverpool (of course I looked it up, you know me).

Thanks for the links to the tragedy. I don't read much news these days. I just checked into the charges and saw that there are only six counts related to harm of individuals, the most seriously injured ones. I don't know how those things work, but six seems low to me.

I also was surprised at the number of charges against him. I'm wondering though if more will follow. I believe his next court appearance is scheduled for August, with the trial scheduled for November.

I have more information on the estimated number of parade attendees and will post that soon.

Hello my dear Mr. Fluff-Butt

Hahaha, no, I did not get there early, in fact I went quite late. I went to a point that was most easily accessible to me. I had to get a bus then walk for about 25 minutes in the pouring rain. I got there a few minutes before the Champions arrived and had a pretty good viewing spot though and got a good sighting of the front and one side of the bus, including seeing the boss and our captain and King Mo Disappointingly though I failed to get any good photos or video (I thought I was recording video but I was wrong)
