RedFox70 Appreciation Thread...

Good evening, Rob (*8*) No work for me until Saturday! Today has been a good day though. I took the nephew for a nice long walk, first to the park, then down by the boating lake on the way to the beach and then onto the beach itself. We didn't stay on the beach for very long though as it was quite cold down there and besides which, we had already been out for quite a while :D

Let me join in

Great pictures, thank you all :luv2: :luv:

Greetings, favorite cousin and friends!

I am stuck in appliance/machine Hell. In the past week, I've had trouble with my refrigerator, clothes dryer, and truck. The fridge is okay now, and I think the part I ordered will fix the dryer. The truck is going to be a huge job to repair, maybe a couple of weeks doing it ourselves. I've been busy researching symptoms and ordering parts, along with all my other projects and work.

We saw a red fox here the other day -- too quick to get a picture.

 (*8*)

Good Evening RedFox (*8*)

Good Luck EJ (*8*)

I hope nothing serious with your truck. If your truck is equipped with a computer some places will hook it up to their diagnostic machine for free.

Good evening, Foxy.(*8*) I’m glad you don’t have to be in work until Saturday. You can relax, and enjoy yourself. I loved the funnies you posted last night and I nearly wet myself! Please post more when you can.
Today has been ok, and I bought a new bluetooth keyboard.

^ Gorgeous picture :luv:

Good evening, Rob (*8*) Thanks, yes, I can relax, but I am finding it quite boring having so many days off! Also, not being in work means I have nothing to moan about! :? Very glad you enjoyed the funnies  and I will try to post some more soon ..|

Good evening, Gatorguy (*8*) I think my cousin's truck is an old-fashioned one, without a computer.

Hello, most beloved of cousins (*8*) Sorry to hear about your machinery problems :( I hope the truck repairs go well and that it is soon up and running ..|

Thank you!

We know much of what's wrong without consulting the computer. True, it's older and lacks many of the newer electronics, but there's still a computer to send us diagnostic codes. (We own a basic code reader.) The code it showed a while ago should have given us a clue, but an improperly firing cylinder could have many causes.

We have a blown head gasket at least, and there could be other engine damage. We've heard that the Ford Ranger is prone to this sort of failure and the replacement engine parts we bought are sturdier. A cracked plastic valve leaking coolant was involved, but that isn't always serious if caught in time. The first time, three years ago (at age 16), it needed only a new valve that cost $12. The replacement valve should have lasted much longer than three years. Our new valve is the same cheap one as before, the one they had locally, so I'm going to buy a better one online.

It seems to be a combination of a few problems. One possible scenario is that after the coolant leak and refilling the coolant (after blocking the leak), driving the truck home damaged the head gasket. A vehicle can run without proper coolant circulation, but it's not a good idea. The engine temperature indicator didn't show a problem, so we're not sure what happened.

Good Friday Afternoon RedFox (*8*)

I hope you have a great weekend.

I hope you have a great weekend EJ and may you get the truck fixed. (*8*)

Good evening, Foxy.(*8*) I hope you’ve not been too bored today. You’ll be pining for such times once you are back at work... All is ok here, but the cloudy and damp weather is grim and rain is forecast for many places tomorrow.

Good evening, Rob (*8*) I haven't been bored today, been busy cooking. I've made cottage pies  It's possible that I may have made too much though and there will be lots leftover and I will be eating it for half of next week! :o  Weather has been grim here also :( The supposed daylight hours have been very dark. Lovely foxy picture :luv:

That was the short version I made with you in mind! (*8*)

Humour time and it's rather different from anything I've posted before. It's from my local newspaper and is from the Chief Astrologer ;)

MYSTIC REG predicts your week

CAPRICORN
It seems like only 12 months ago that it was November. Don't the policemen seem young these days? And didn't you come into this room for something?

AQUARIUS
You've tried to explain your behaviour towards women by saying you're a dinosaur. But that won't excuse your bloody rampage at the theme park, or eating Jeff Goldblum.

PISCES
You've a soft side you rarely show to others. And there's a good reason for that, so just keep your clothes on like a normal person, OK?

ARIES
As a spiritual person, you've always felt there is a beautiful afterlife waiting for when you pass on. However, I've just checked and all I can see is the cold, endless void. Sorry.

TAURUS
One day, you will die. However, on all the other days you will not. So, swings and roundabouts.

GEMINI
On Wednesday, your fairy godmother (because they exist, if we're saying magical fortune-telling stars do) will grant you three wishes.

CANCER
Clothes keep disappearing from your wardrobe. Either your wife has taken them to the charity shop, or it's a cold winter in Narnia.

LEO
It's never too late to do something meaningful with your life, which is just as well as you've only got 36 hours.

VIRGO
Your interest in time travel continues - why not go to the meeting of the local TARDIS owners' club last Wednesday?

LIBRA
You've made some bad choices lately, one of them being to seek the advice of an ill-mannered newspaper astrologer with questionable credentials. Do one, fatty.

SCORPIO
You feel like you're wasting your potential by not moving on from a dead end job. You're also wasting your potential energy by not falling from a great height.

SAGITTARIUS
You need to be more organised. Or less organised. It's one of the two - none of this stuff matters in the infinite emptiness of the cosmos, you know.

Well, Foxy, (*8*) Mystic Meg is naughty! She seems to have it all wrong! But all so very funny, and thank you for posting those predictions. And you’ve just made my stomach rumble! I’ll have to go and get something to eat despite the time...;)

You mean Reg? ;) Glad you enjoyed the predictions, even if they are a load of nonsense! Sorry I've made you hungry! I tend to get a bit peckish myself around this time of night and often have to partake of a little snack :D
