We have just spent a glorious two weeks in the sunshine island hopping some of the Greek islands. I truly did not want to get on the plane back. I have a short NHS24 shift in the morning, just six hours, then back to the grind proper on Monday.

Thanks, but Sunday was not a good day at work. However, I was thankful that I only had a short shift as others who were working that day had a much more stressful day than I did. Indeed, the daily updates on the Coronavirus are very worrying. Thank you for all the lovely pictures

Good evening, Foxy, I’m sorry Sunday was not a good day at work for you, and I don’t like the sound of how it went your colleagues. I hope such a bad day will not happen again for a very long time. Here, unfortunately, I learnt of the death, from Motor Neurone Disease, of Adam Maher, who used to play rugby league for Hull FC. He was only 47, and I can recall seeing him in many of the matches. He was fast and such a great tackler. Oh how he will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the death of Adam Maher. Motor Neurone Disease is a cruel disease, especially when it afflicts those who have led physically active lives. The husband of the current captain of the England Women's team has MND and was himself a footballer but retired from the sport in 2018 shortly before his 30th birthday.
