Normally I'd be quite confident of a good performance and a win, but given how this shitstorm of a season has been for us and that last night's defeat was the 5th home defeat in a row, I don't hold out much hope for Sunday's game. Us Liverpool fans are really looking forward to this nightmare of a season coming to an end.

I'll drink to that, but not at that price!! :eek: :lol:

Well, they won 2-0 in the 1st leg, so they are in a good position to progress, barring any major defensive cock-ups.
Of the numerous issues during this season has been the lack of supporters inside stadia. It's obvious that my lads in particular have suffered greatly from not having fans there to cheer them on, hence the terrible performances and results. It didn't seem to bother them too much at the back end of last season, but of course that was only for a handful of games and they were Champions in all but confirmation once the season resumed after lockdown and actually only played one game at home before the confirmation. Earlier this season the absence of fans didn't seem to bother them too much, probably because, like everyone else, they thought that the fans would be allowed back before long. In fact, a small number of fans were in the stadium for a couple of games in December. Those were the last victories the lads enjoyed at home. Elsewhere in the country, it is apparent that playing behind closed doors has not had a detrimental effect on all teams, in fact, some teams have very much benefitted from no supporters being there.

Good evening, my dear Mr. Fluff-Butt (*8*) :kiss: Mo scored in the 1st leg of the tie also, as did Sadio Mane :=D: The lads seem to be more comfortable and confident playing in the Champions League than in the Premier League. Maybe it has something to do with the appalling officiating in the PL this season. There certainly hasn't been much in the way of controversy in the CL games as there has in the PL.

There was an altercation in Tesco in the afternoon between an old man and a member of staff. I think it was about the traffic light system, but I was several yards away.
