Good evening, Foxy, (*8*) I hope you had a lovely day today, and are relaxing this evening before the long bank holiday weekend. Of course it’s rain and wind on Monday. So I’m saying no more about that. ;). I’m okay, and have been out for much of today, but I’m relaxing this evening.

Good evening, Gatorguy (*8*) Thanks, you too (*8*) Gorgeous picture :luv2:

Good evening, Rob (*8*) Lovely picture :luv2: I hope you had a good day yesterday. A bank holiday weekend to me is just another weekend, it's nothing special. I didn't have a very good day yesterday. I had a job interview and it took place via videocall. It did not go well, I was just so nervous and stressed that I totally botched it. I'm terrible at interviews anyway, but I think the fact that it wasn't face to face made it even worse. Oh well.

(*8*) Good evening my dear Miss Fuzz-Face.

Your lads have their work cut out for them tomorrow facing Man United. I hope they play well. liverpool-2 flag.jpg

Good Sunday Evening RedFox (*8*)

I see you have taken to the fence with the postponment of your match today.

(*8*) Good morning my dear Miss Fuzz-Face

Trying to make some sense of the reason for the postponement from the muddled coverage we got on this side of the pond, I think United fans need a good :spank:
I'm sure you will set me straight.

Good afternoon, my dear Mr. Fluff-Butt (*8*)

Good afternoon, Gatorguy (*8*)

Well, basically, a bunch of cry babies decided to storm a football stadium, allegedly in protest at the club's owners. Apparently this is the first time that a top-flight match has been postponed due to fans protesting. The authorities called off the match after deciding it was not safe for it to go ahead. The owners of this particular club have been at the reigns for over 15 years and despite investing heavily in the purchase of players, they have apparently taken a great deal of money from the club and have let the facilities deteriorate. This is supposedly the reason for the protest. Some would say that it is simply a set of supporters who were once so accustomed to regular success and now that is no longer the case, they are throwing their toys out of the pram. What seems to have tipped them over the edge is that a couple of weeks ago there was an announcement that a new European Super League would be set up and 6 top English teams would be involved, along with a number of other top European clubs. Those clubs involvement in the ESL was intended to replace their participation in the existing European club competitions. There was a huge backlash to this announcement and all clubs quickly withdrew from the plans. Feelings are still running high though, most people citing the greed and an inflated sense of superiority as the main reasons for the ESL.
I hope that goes some way to explaining yesterday's events.

Hopefully there will be severe punishments handed out to the main perpetrators. After all, they were trespassing and caused damage, not least injuring 2 policemen. They've also cost the club money and caused a great deal of inconvenience to both clubs through the postponement of the match.

Hiya, Dan (*8*) Yeah, I'd pick him up too!

(*8*) Thank you my dear Miss Fuzz-Face.

You have explained it clearly. Much better than the news writers.
