I've never seen an episode of Golden Girls either, and that's because they don't screen re-runs over here in New Zealand.

Blanche had just finished describing one of her romantic interludes.

Dorothy: "I'll get the dishes."
Rose: "I'll get the cheese cake."
Sophia: "I'll get the Etch-A-Sketch. At my age I need a visual aid."

The Golden Girls are really "must see TV".

They appeal to a wide variety of audiences, but, for some reason, their gay following is really huge!

I know that my day isn't complete without seeing at least one or two episodes.....

I suspect that the reason for that is that we actually know the characters. How many of us don't know someone who acts like one of the characters. Or are one of the characters themselves. I'd be willing to bet that there is at least one Blanche, Stella, Rose or Dorothy reading this thread.
