Now the important question, how many GOP senators can be persuaded to treat us equally?

It will be a tough fight to get even 2 or 3 which is the likely number we need.

Also it's good they are taking out the DREAM act this time. That was one point of objection from some last time.

If history proves correct...Obama will be elected to his 2nd term in November of 2011.

Obama will not have achieved that opportunity without support from within the Democratic National Committee.

Sadly, he'll have already lost the majority of those "registered" Democrats that got his ass elected as POTUS in 2008. :cool:

All this time the Obama administration has been insisting that the repeal of DADT should be legislated, not litigated. And, though it's been a frustrating exercise, including the DOJ's appeal, I think they've got it Right, and a chance to achieve it! ..| (group)

The first amendment, to The Constitution, gives Congress the right to raise an Army. That which pertains to the military is, in the purely legal sense, under their control. Therefore, to make DADT completely go away, for good, without possible changes in future litigation, the only way to go is legislative! #-o ..|

Mark Kirk may also vote to end fillibuster, even though he says he supports keeping DADT (that's really key, since it's a given there aren't enough votes to strip repeal out of the bill)

Just contact them... all of them so they can know it is what the people want...

Kuli pushed out a link to Sen. Mark Udall that allowed service members to sign onto our voice for repeal...

So far + 66,000 vets signed the petition.

This is the time to spend some of your time making sure congress hears you. I am in the enviable place of having mutliple addresses and although I can only hail from one state i wrote all of the last addresses to let them know (Ohio, Connecticut, Tennessee, Virginia, and California)

This can happen.
