Lee is described as a centrist. Coming from Western NY, I didn't think he was a bible thumping right winger. There's no apparent hypocrisy. He did lie about being 30 something and divorced in his CL profile. Still, not a terribly exciting scandal. Even the "wide stance" story was better than this.

I think he resigned so abruptly because his political god father - Boehner - told him to do so. The Boner wants to make sure this story does not linger in the Press while they focus on whipping up the family values crowd by legislating limits to abortions. (That way, when Lee fucks some chick and gets her pregnant she can put the kid up for adoption instead of aborting the fetus.) Pathetic!
