Did you notice in the two most recent Republican Presidential debates where the audience (and candidates) applaud DEATH. The first was when Perry was bragging about the 234 lifes that he ordered executed that the audience busted into a loud applaud. And the most recent was at last evening's debate when there were calls from the audience that a man in a coma who could not afford medical care should just be left to die with no medical care afforded. (That was in response to a hypothetical situation presented by the moderator).

Right wing -- right to life -- preaching life on one hand and applauding the taking of life on another. Go Christians (these are just CINO's), they in no way have any true or meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ, oherwise they would not be chanting for a helpless man to be let die just because he's poor. No, I don't think Jesus would approve of that.

Yes I did.

....By the way you can also see Perry isn't discouraging capital offenses with fear with that big ole death penalty, seems he has plenty of customers not afraid to do the deed that puts them on death row. He brags about how hes making it safe but I don't see that with those numbers of inmates being killed. It isn't stopping these crimes as he boast.

Remember the Terry Shiavo case in 2005 Florida? I won't get into the reasons for or against. That is another topic.
In this case you had such as Sean Hennity and Glenn Beck along with many right to life people protesting the removal of her feeding tube because she would die.
And in their opinions that was murder and wrong. She had been living in this vegetative state for 15 years. She was at the Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park. I was a volunteer there helping with AIDS patients. I had never seen such a circus of angry misfits.
I didn't really know who these guys were Glenn Beck, I mean who listens to AM radio in 2005? And Sean Hennity never heard him personally. They were mean and nasty causing a lot of problems getting into help the other dying people and their families at the Hospice which was always a tranquil, respectful place of love and understanding for all. Not with these hateful bastards. We had to get police escort to enter the property in fear of attack from these loons (future teabaggers).

So there they protest removing her feeding tube. The very next day the radio programs would spew hate and lies about Hospice and as well these clowns the fox guy and Glenn Beck on WFLA AM970 would spreading disgust for Medicaid and governmental programs they said should be cut.

In all fairness the most nutty leader of the crowd was some catholic priest he was way out in left field, man I thought he was going to do something total crazy in the name of God.

The irony is that Terry Schiavo was receiving her daily care for years (15 total in this vegetative state) via indignant medicaid and other programs to take care of maintenance as well as any physical/medical problems such as bed sores or infections that develop. Any settlement money was small potatoes and her families assets were long drained or pulled off in lieu of public assistance, which is understandable. Most don't have a quarter or a million a year to help support their family members for even a year let alone a decade.

Terry maybe could have lived many more years as a meat puppet but that cost without any additional problems was nearly $250,000 a yr.
So the reality was it was murder in there view to remove the feeding tube but cut the funding that certainly would increase every year to keep her heart beating was fine.

It certainly would have cost more than this at a private institution over Hospice where many dedicated volunteers do things to aide people that most of those in the crowd wouldn't do for their own Mom's . Without those governmental programs Terry would have been off the feeding tubes long before year 15.

It all comes back to "I got mine, fuck you tough luck for you" disguised in a self righteous religious cause by many groups.

I don't recall any instances of the candidates applauding death or Perry bragging about his executions.

Those in attendance were applauding state sanctioned murder and also cheering when they heard letting an uninsured man die.

yup.

I watched the debates... I'm still not recalling any of the candidates applauding death and bragging about executions, though.

Must have been a different debate from the one I witnessed. I heard the soundbite at least half a dozen times - all with applause. It was probably doctored by leftist extremists.

I don't know Perry but i just watch his answer abit and i don't like him already.
He sounds like Hiltler .. He looks/sound too arrogant to me.

Perry wasn't bragging.

Good for him! Don't kill people in Texas, or you'll be killed in return. That's as it should be.

This is and odd dichotomy in Perry. Last night or the night before I forget which... at the Tea Party debate Perry made a statement that stuck with me as odd since Texas executes the most people in this country....I mean you know the joke "Some states are dropping the death penalty while Texas is putting in an express lane"

Last night Perry stated in defense of mandatory HPV vaccinations that " Everyday Texas makes decisions to protect human lives" I paraphrase but you get the gist.

SO I can see the protecting society argument BUT it is odd to defend life or be right to life except where you get to play God and kill. It makes zero sense.

You must keep the rapist baby because you cant kill life but hey we will go ahead and juice the rapist so all is good.

Really?

the candidates did not applaud but could be heard giggling and chuckling as the audience applauded. I suppose that isn't quite as blood thirsty.

In 2009 while uninsured because of corporate greed, I suffered a major stroke. The emergency room doctor attempted to calm my anxiety over being hospitalized with no insurance by telling me not to worry, they were going to take care of me. My neighbor brought me the emergency room bill while I was still in the hospital. Since I was partially paralyzed after being discharged, I was unable to work my minimum wage, part-time job and had no income. The emergency room bill was the first to threaten to sue for nonpayment.

Would the 'acceptable' tea party solution have been for me to just go home, die and not become a 'drain' on the pro-life, taxpaying society?

maybe you could do some minor crime.
If you don't get caught lucky you. If you get caught the most they can do is put you in jail for a short time and feed you good meals, medical care ... etc

Funny, that's what Obamacare will do!
