Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

she doesnt even write her own songs

If i tell you Whitney doesnt write her own songs, you are going to tell me that Whitney has a powerhouse voice so you cant compare the 2.

However the fact is Rihanna is an overall entertainer/performer.

She never claimed to be Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, however she can carry a tune and knows how to make hits that people all over the world love.

I'd like to see Whitney or Celine try and pull off Britney or Rihannas dance moves.

People dont go to a Rihanna and Britney concert to just to hear them sing, they go for the entire package.

You have different types of artists. And there is room in the music industry for all of them.

If you dont want to listen to her turn off the radio and turn off the TV and close your eyes when you walk on the road so you dont see her ads, because Rihanna isnt going nowhere and she is everywhere literally.

Just are just jealous of all her success. You cant stomach how successful she is at just 19 years old. You are 21, what have you accomplished in your life thus far? Nothing but hate and it will eat you up inside and karma is gonna get you because when you wish bad on others...

You know what let me drink a cup a tea and go to bed.

Re: Rihanna and the 2008 Grammys :)

Whitney houston Has One of The Most powerful Voices Of All TIME, Rihanna Quite Possibly Has The Worst, Rihanna Is Talentless, Nothing Special About Her. She Needs To Die Already

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

I agree. While I like the chick, she doesn't write her own shit. That makes her phail to be an "artist". Entertainer? Sure. But so is Miss Beyonce and she be writin' the hits!

:D

Alright. Lemme sell out real quick:

1. I gave the song a chance and I must say it's catchy as all get out.

2. Rihanna still needs some vocal training, with her sexy ass! And she's packing some heat in the chest area!

3. And Ne-Yo is good at least 80% of time, so again, I can't complain. I'm sure he wrote this joint anyway! LOL

4. Lastly, I just wanna say that the video wasn't bad, it was focused on Rihanna's hot bod, which many will love. It's fun but quite disposable.

5. 7/10

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ LOL, you didnt even hear the song but you jumped on Latinos band wagon you 2 are something else LOL, and when you actually listened to the song you like it. I tell you.

That makes her phail to be an "artist".

Someone failed English, (no scripts howard for you) or was it hooked on phonics, i think its the latter because ph and f wouldnt give you so much trouble. Maybe if you spent less time hating on Rihanna and more time on the books that oops wouldn't have happened :(

I agree. While I like the chick, she doesn't write her own shit.

You guys need to stop spreading lies and propaganda on Rihanna. Vacate your hate ( i just made that up :) ) But seriously enough with the hate because its blinding you from the facts and the truth.

Talking absolute crap nonsense about Rihanna doesnt write her own songs. Rihanna has writing credits on her first two albums, suck on that.

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ Dont Stop The Music" is a hot dance track, and this is what the Grammy for, "Best Dance Recording" is gonna look like,

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ Where have you been all my life LOL

I kid but yes on the real, S.O.S should have been nominated last year and its time Grammy recognizes Rihanna as a force in the business.

They could get away with snubbing, S.O.S and Unfaithful, but there is no way in hell they can ignore UMBRELLA, no way.

And come December 8th we shall see what we shall see.

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ I know Unfaithful was a beautiful song, well as beautiful as infidelity can be LOL.

The video? Flawless. It told a complete story and Ri Ri acted it out so well. She could have done a little less back arching and choose hotter guys but its cool still. It was like a mini movie.

I don't know how it didn't get an MTV video nomination.

2. Rihanna still needs some vocal training, with her sexy ass! And she's packing some heat in the chest area!

#-o She is 19, her voice is still maturing. You should have heard her when she was 15 singing in a teen pageant (she won it) it wasn't pretty. Well it started off well but mid to end wasn't pretty and this is coming from me.

Give her some time and if Rihanna is so successful with the voice she has now, just imagine what will happen when her voice fully comes into its own.

And about her breasts, wow, they are hot. She could turn a gay guy straight. She is so stunning to look at. A true beauty. I first noticed the twins this year at the MTV video awards where UMBRELLA won monster single of the year, in that pink dress.

She is really growing up nicely,

Re: Rihanna and the 2008 Grammys :)

Nice hardware! Inside-information and insider-trading always works! Best New Artist final five: Lily Allen, Peter Bjorn & John, Gym Class Heroes, Rihanna, Robin Thicke, and Amy Winehouse. Rhianna and Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes will fight for final slot. Since, Travie and the boys were nominated more than Rhianna in pre-Grammy ceremonies. Shawn Carter a.k.a Jay-Z will concentrate on the big four [Album, Record and Song of the Year and Best New Artist] and Rap-Sang Collaboration Vocal Performance. These nominations are rare for reggae and rhythm & blues acts, but she evolved into a pop songstress with her pop-powerhouse ballad "Unfaithful", a catchy-pop dance track "S.O.S" and rap duet with Grammy-God, Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques called "Break It Off".

Since, Travie and the boys were nominated more than Rihanna in pre-Grammy ceremonies. Shawn Carter a.k.a Jay-Z will concentrate on the big four [Album, Record and Song of the Year and Best New Artist] and Rap-Sang Collaboration Vocal Performance and Best Pop Album all on the heels the international popularity of "Umbrella". Miss Rihanna won't be nominated for fewer than six Grammy nominations and has an inside-track of winning Best New Artist over than critical-acclaimed and international debut from Amy Winehouse called "Black To Black" which will prove to be the Grammy nominations leader with a record-impressing ten. She guaranteed a win for "Album of the Year"; Record and Song of the Year"; and "Best New Artist" for a complete sweep. Universial/Republic have a conundrum on their hands; clearly Amy is a British R&B soul and jazz songstress who shouldn't be regulated to the pop categories because she's white and not a black female. Similar to Grammy-winner and fellow Brit, Joss Stone; who also alleged racial bias
and discrimination in the nominating process and proved them wrong by winning a collaboration Grammy award with fellow Englishman, Van Hunt and John Legend for a tribute song to Sly & The Family Stone "Family Affair" in R&B Duo or Group with Vocal category. Her label would be wise to stay clear of any controversial by nominating her in chosen genre. For instances: Best R&B Album; Best R&B Vocal Performance for "Tears Try Own Their Own" her tribune to Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "You're All I Need To Get By"; Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for the title track, "Black To Black" her tribune to classic rhythm & blues, go-go beat, and acid jazz; Best Urban Alternative R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Record and Song of the Year for her breakthrough song, "You Know I'm No Good" and the alternative side to her b-side single, "Rehab" for Best Pop Female Vocal Performance. She has the probability of receiving eleven nominations including an additional honorable recognition for her writing partner and fellow Englishman, Mark Ronson whose debut album spawn three international dance crazes: "Stop Me" featuring Daniel Merriweather; "Oh My God" featuring Lily Allen and "Valerie" featuring Amy Winehouse but whose counting.

Re: Rihanna and the 2008 Grammys :)

India Arie is fantastic too, no Idea why she wasnt a success.

Maybe if Clive Davis had discovered her.

Its called the music business for a reason. The industry is not always about finding real talent its about making money.

Ready For Love is a classic

I think the biggest prob was that India came out the same year as Alcia and Alicia was groomed by Clive to sweep up all the awards and fame.

India sad got overshadowed :( by all the puvlicity Alicia got.

I only came across ACOUSTIC SOUL by chance and i am glad i did but the the world didnt really know her until Grammy nomination day when she got the most nominations. It was like she came out of nowhere.

At least the industry showed some respect by giving her 7 noms but then direspected her by not giving her a single one.

And how could she be nominated for Album of the year but not win her individual R&B category; and Songs in A minor was not nominated for Album of the year.

The Grammy people felt so bad they invented a new R&B category the following year which she won for Voyage.

Re: Rihanna and the 2008 Grammys :)

She wont win any of those. She didnt write anything on the album and "Umbrella" isnt esactly a grammy contender since it was thrown around to numerous record labels before it was picked up. Grammy awards usually go to original song made by the singer.
Not really or at all. A lot of people have won grammys for songs they did not wirte. Christina Aguilera won for Beautiful which was either going to Pink or staying with Linda Perry

Re: Rihanna and the 2008 Grammys :)

^ But that wasn't for the lyrics it was for Chirstina's vocals on the track.

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

Rihanna will be performing HATE THAT I LOVE YOU on Letterman, October 4th (!)

Dont worry ill bump to remind ya'll

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

NO ONE CARES EXCEPT YOU (and maybe a few other people) But I Dont Know What It Is With You And Rihanna!

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

Danugh you got waaaaaaaaaaay too much time on your hands. Are you her publicist or something? I hope you're getting paid for all this.

She's alright. Nothing more, nothing less. She's got hits, I wont change the channel if her video's come on, but damn. You act like she's the fuckin Messiah of pop music and shit.

And the new video....Ne-Yo need's to stop re-using his previous hits. He did the same thing on his album with Go On Girl where he lifted the entire percussion track from Irreplaceable.

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

Why do you feel the need to capitalize the first letter of every word you right in a sentence?

BTW Danugh, thanks for the update!

Why do You Feel The Need To Care?

Rihanna Sucks At Everything, Get It In Your Head people

Jackasses

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ Why not, "go, go" both of them?

There is room in the business for both :)

Britney could have gotten Umbrella.

And just so you know marko, Rihanna is one of the few Celebs to stand up for Britney after her VMA performance,

Rihanna: Leave Britney alone

Rihanna has urged the media to stop criticizing Britney Spears’ MTV Video Music Awards performance.

She believes Spears’ disastrous stageshow at the Las Vegas ceremony earlier this month was the result of her not having performed much recently coupled with the stress of her ongoing child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Rihanna says: “You can’t judge her performance without knowing what was going on with her personally. She had so much pressure for that one performance.

“I’m telling you, it’s not easy being on that stage. I performed for a minute and a half, and I was extremely nervous.

“To have the amount of pressure that Britney had? I don’t know what I would’ve done. She did her best, so leave her alone.”

Go Ri Ri :)

Hate it. Who in the world uses the word 'falsified' in a song? How crap is that?

Re: Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo - HATE THAT I LOVE YOU

^ i dont know what song you are talking about, but in any event who would have thought that a song about an UMBRELLA would be the biggest song in the world this year.
