You can thank singers like Mary J Blige who lowered the bar for female singers. Ever since the 90's more and more singers are auto tuned,can't sing live,off key but they still sale like crazy..Also the record labels who want quick bucks not talent that will have a long career.

With a song as cheeky as this i expected to see a video to match which i definitely did not. It's decent i suppose just I'm tired of green screen videos which Rihanna admittedly doesn't usually do.

My favorite track and vid off of rated r. She didn't have to take "Rated R" so literal and give us a dark persona and dark music, I see her going hard in this video alone, now that's a comeback! The video is supposed to be fun, and it was so I don't know why we have to throw in comparisons. We all forget that she's still 22, where was Beyonce when she was at that age? Anyway, I liked it. Not her best, but a breath of fresh air from her Rated R flop...

Rihanna does not have too much say in what she does, so I would not look to her for the concept of the video. I have to agree with your main idea though. The video's a unique way to present an idea that's so common.

RATED R is pretty Awesome, but GGGB is still her best album to date!
