Rihanna's Record Breaking Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh #1 Worldwide

I HATE this song. First time I heard it I thought it was stuck like a broken record or something. Now she just sounds like a retarded person singing.

It sounds like the Ashlee Simpson song L.O.V.E.

ello ello vee ee - repeat

ella ella eh eh - repeat

They both got old after about the second listen.

I loved L.O.V.E. that song rocked but more people connected with UMBRELLA.

Baby it's raining raining...

Indeed, and especially Brits have something to say about what became known as "Rihanna curse". This is from a British newspaper from July 17:

Before the single was released on May 14, Britain had been basking in sunshine.

London was Europe’s warmest capital along with Athens as temperatures soared to 20°C.

But just one day after the song hit the shops, severe weather warnings hit the headlines.

There were Met Office alerts for East Anglia and the Highlands in May, while downpours and flash floods devastated Sheffield, Hull and Doncaster as well as Kent and Hampshire in June. In fact, last month was the wettest June on record with nearly 120mm of rain.

And Wikipedia promptly informs us that as Rihanna's single Umbrella was finally knocked off the UK number one spot on July 29 the weather in the UK and Ireland also improved!

Surely it's God speaking. Btw, the triangle stands for trinity. ;)

In the US and UK Rihanna has become a “wasm” falling from the top of the charts, but in Europe the Barbadian lass is holding strong. Her hit single “Umbrella” continues its marathon run on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles ending its 10th week Friday as the #1 song.

Wow

Rihanna’s Umbrella has spent a total of 10 weeks on the United World Charts. The single ranked in 345.000 points this week. A close second is Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry which ranked in 310.000. Can Rihanna make it to 11 weeks? We will see next week.

Billboard update coming this Sunday. Umbrella is still in the top 5 on the Hot 100, as Shut Up And Drive is still in the top 20 on the Hot 100. Don’t Stop The Music also jumped into the top 5, on the Hot Dance Club Play.
