So, the Trump Administration is trying to deport the guy who founded the Center of Countering Digital Hate (CCDH). The CCDH produces reports on online hate speech. The CEO of CCDH is a UK citizen with a green card who has resided in the US for 5 years and resides in Washington DC.

The CCDH has published several reports since Musk acquired Twitter, asserting that hate speech, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and anti-LGBTQ+ content have increased significantly on the platform under his ownership. Elon Musk has publicly criticized the CCDH, calling for the organization to be prosecuted and accusing them of trying to stifle free speech. In August 2023, X Corp officially filed a lawsuit against the CCDH. X's legal team alleged that the CCDH improperly accessed data and made "baseless claims" intended to harm X's business, specifically by pressuring advertisers to leave the platform. A Federal judge found that Musk's lawsuit was intended to harass the CCDH and defined it as a SLAPP lawsuit, which allows the CCDH to recover their legal costs from Musk.

In retaliation, the US State Department started deportation proceedings against Imran Ahmed, the CEO of the CCDH. He was barred from entering the US. The State Department accused Imran Ahmed of "stifling free speech" (which was the same accusation that Musk leveled against the CCDH).

A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from detaining or deporting Imran Ahmed.

A viral video made the round recently about day care centers in Minnesota. The video was created and posted by a 23 year old Youtube "content creator" named Nick Shirley. The video ginned up a story about fraud in day children's day care centers operated by Somali immigrants or providing services to Somali children. Shirley attempts to enter the day care centers, making claims that they are not operational. In at least one instance, Shirley showed up at the door of the day care center outside its normal business hours, claiming that it a fake (the business hours were clearly posted on the door). One day care center called the police and had Shirley removed for trespassing.

The video retweeted by Vice President JD Vance, FBI Director Kash Patel and Elon Musk. The FBI and DHS sent more employees to the state of Minnesota to investigate. Trump announced changes in immigration policies for Somalis. HHS announced they were freezing funding to the state of Minnesota. The Small Business Administration froze loans for the businesses. The businesses received death threats. The government put out statements about "rampant fraud".

The video didn't present any evidence, just accusations. Yet, the entire Federal government "responded" to the video.

The State of Minnesota investigated and found that the businesses were operating normally. But the damage was done.

Now, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (the former VP candidate in the 2024 Presidential election) has announced that he will not be running for re-election.

This is how fascists operate. The story checks a lot of the boxes on the characteristics of fascism list.

Minnesota officials have until January 9 to provide the Trump administration with information about providers and parents who receive federal funds for child care, according to a bulletin sent Friday by the state Department of Children, Youth, and Families to child care providers and shared with CNN.

Without warning, without a word to Orlando officials, the state Department of Transportation sent a work crew into the SODO neighborhood with a directive: Blacken out the rainbow-painted crosswalk that marked the place where emergency crews once carried the wounded and dying victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre.

It left city officials and Orlando residents wondering: Why the sneak attack? Why didn’t Orlando get the chance to appeal, as other cities were granted? Most compelling: Why did the DOT destroy a crosswalk that the department itself installed just a few months prior, complete with the rainbow colors — and even boasted about on social media?

When the Sentinel and other media outlets asked the state for records that would answer those questions, the only response was silence — even as the state continued to escalate its attack on street art of all kinds.

This act of authoritarian vandalism came out of the blue, though there were hints of trouble. On July 1, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a letter to states declaring decorative elements on roads to be dangerous and distracting — a theory he apparently pulled out of thin air, since there’s a massive body of research suggesting that road art actually makes intersections more safe. About a week later, the state sent out a vague memorandum that echoed those thoughts but contained no specific instructions.

Whatever the motivation, the agenda of Trump and his accomplices is patterned after Hitler. Just because events are not exactly parallel, or the details are not identical in execution, doesn't mean the same agenda isn't being re-enacted. The consequences will be the same.

This year, the hammer on rights will come down hard. Before long, we will be living under martial law. The camps they're building will open, and they will start coming for "undesirables" regardless of citizenship. More needless "lebensraum" wars will be started, and the military draft will be re-imposed to support them. The economy will be in chaos, as will national and world stability.

That's my worst case prediction, while hoping to be wrong. Do you think if Trump kicks the bucket, JD Vance wouldn't follow the same agenda?

What is going to happen? WWHD - What Would Hitler Do? So far, they are following the same trajectory.

It just amazes me how pervasive the mutual exploitation between autocrats and religion is- we've seen in over and over, in Iran, in Saudi Arabia, in Russia, in Hungary, in Turkey...

But people only see the connection when it's not their religion- i.e. most Americans "see" the connection in Iran and Saudi Arabia but they don't see how the corrupt pastors in the US are in bed with the predophile, felon President and how disgusting the whole arrangement is.
