The Mellon and Scaife descendants are a good reason to tax the rich. Tim Mellon gave something like $50 million to Trump's 2024 re-election. Richard Mellon Scaife was behind the efforts to impeach Bill Clinton and he was also an investor in NewsMax. Rachel Lambert "Bunny" Mellon was the source of the money to hide John Edwards' mistress and love child from the American voters (and sadly, she's the person who helped design the now gone Rose Garden on the East Wing of the White House).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mellons show up in the Epstein files.

ICE reactivated a contract for cell phone spyware that the Biden Administration had blocked.

ICE Revives Contract With Controversial Spyware Firm Paragon
September 2, 2025

The Biden administration had previously placed a hold on the $2 million contract to Paragon Solutions, which has been linked to mobile spyware infections.

The US government has reactivated a $2 million contract with controversial spyware vendor Paragon Solutions.

As noted by journalist and former Google research scientist Jack Poulson, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lifted its hold on the contract, which involves sourcing software from Paragon Solutions.

The contract was originally supposed to start a year ago. But the Biden administration placed the deal on hold due to a 2023 executive order restricting federal agencies from using commercial spyware involved in surveillance and human rights violations.

On Saturday, ICE posted an update that says: “This contract is for a fully configured proprietary solution including license, hardware, warranty, maintenance, and training. This modification is to lift the stop work order.”

Given what they're doing, if you attend a protest rally, consider putting your phone in a Faraday case so that DHS cannot track your presence at a protest.

^ And in the meantime, they have vacated the ruling by the earlier panel. And the DoJ is scrambling to not be caught out in the lie they used to justify it.

Kennedy Center Before Trump takeover: popular touring shows and popular artists selling 93% of the seats.
After Trump: Christian gospel acts and selling (or giving away) 57% of the house.

It doesn't help when thousands of Federal workers have been fired and the millions of workers aren't being paid during the shutdown.

Ticket sales plummet at Kennedy Center after Trump takeover: Washington Post analysis

Ticket sales for the Kennedy Center have continued to plummet in the months since President Trump took over its operations.

Tens of thousands of seats have been left empty at the three main performance venues, according to The Washington Post.

About 43 percent of tickets remain unsold according to the Post’s daily analysis of the Kennedy Center’s Opera House, Concert Hall and Eisenhower Theater from Sept. 3 to Oct. 19.

The outlet said the Kennedy Center was missing out on approximately $1 million in revenue 45 days into show season after numerous artists canceled or refused to perform there while it is under the Trump administration’s control.
