I didn't watch the veep debate the other night. I was tired and just didn't feel up to it. Besides, I pretty much figured it would go like this: Tim Walz-- "Aww, shucks!" J.D. Vance-- "They're eating the dogs and cats!"

Rob, it sounds like you're you're having really terrible weather. I absolutely hate rainy and cold weather, and even cloudy and cold weather. I hope Kirk does indeed miss you. Right now it's building up to be a powerful hurricane, so I figure it's going to be nasty for whoever eventually gets it.
 
Good Thursday night, John! (*8*) My dentist appointment went well, thanks. I didn't have to fork over loads of cash, but I will be needing another wisdom tooth extraction on the right side which I'll look into after the holidays.

J.D. Vance did indeed lie a lot, but Tim Walz stood his ground. A bit shaky at first, but he really came out swinging in the second half.

I’m okay. I went to Scarborough on the train today. I had a big shock when paying for my ticket. The fare has gone down by 20%!!! :gogirl: I cannot recall fares ever going down, only up! It’s a promotion to try and get more passengers on the trains.
Unfortunately Kirk is still on course for the UK, but as a remnant, not a full strength hurricane.

Hi RM! Hope your Saturday was good. I walked to Dollar Tree and Lidl (but took the bus home with my purchases). It was a lovely day to walk!

I'm not going out tonight and probably not tomorrow. Saving money for a Nashville weekend the end of this month. The basics (air, Airbnb, Predators ticket) are paid for already. I'll be staying in funky East Nashville near Canvas, one of my favorite Nashville bars.

I’m okay, but only just. When I was out cycling earlier on, in the morning, I approached a roundabout, and from the left, a white van appeared. In our traffic law, the van had to give way to me. It did not. I was going through the roundabout, and the van accelerated to me. I was able to just get out of it’s way. It shook me up, but I’m okay now. I have the license details, etc. of that van, and I’m sleeping on what to do tonight.

Thank you for your support about yesterday’s near miss with the van. Unfortunately there’s nothing the police can do since there was no actual collision, so it can only be logged and taken no further.
