Hi RM! Hope your weekend was good.

Saturday I went into Center City Philadelphia. First I went into Reading Terminal Market, our historic and fabulous food hall, and saw lots of people wearing many different college logos. Oh, yes...the NCAA wrestling championship was in town. And wrestlers and fans love to eat. It was packed but a really good vibe. I was sorry to hear that the president went to the championshtp and was cheered...I bet it wasn't as much cheering as SOME news outlets reported.

The main reason I went was for the Wanamaker Organ concert. It's in the Grand Court of the former John Wanamaker department store. The store became a Macy's, and closed yesterday. But an all-day organ program was scheduled Saturday, and I arrived at 4 pm and enjoyed the final rwo organists.

Yesterday was beautiful. I went to Dollar Tree for the basics, AA batteries and Cheez Doodles.

Today was rainy so I postponed my library visit.
 
This is the famous Wanamakrr Eagle, a meeting place for years in the store's Grand Court. Back in the day, each suburban Wanamaker store had their own eagle.

Folding chairs were brought in for the concert; all merchandise was moved out. Not much was left...fixtures and rugs were still for sale.
