I totally forgot to mention this, but my neighborhood has been invaded by squirrels! 🐿 I thought I had just one hiding in a space just under the rain gutters, but I have 3! Technically there are 4, but one died the other day. I had a professional set a trap for the 1 I knew of and I was shocked to see it dead at the bottom of the cage... and three little heads peering at it through the hole. 😯 I dunno how they got in, but they'll be free when the professional comes back tomorrow. Not to be too graphic, but it was a total 💩 show in there this evening. The dead squirrel naturally attracted flies and a lizard crawled into the cage and enjoyed a buffet of them. I came back about 30 minutes later and the lizard was gone, but the two of the squirrels were fighting over what might've been it's body and I literally saw the third snatch a fly and eat it. Makes sense since the poor things haven't eaten in 2 to 3 days. They'll be free tomorrow.
