There doesn't seem to be anything that can be done about this. They've incorporated anti-vaxx disinformation into their cult beliefs. It's not possible to deprogram nearly all of them. Trying to tell them the truth, just has the opposite reaction. They're beyond help and hope. I've tried any number of times, and it's like talking to a rock. It didn't work with Covid, and it won't work with other vaccines as well. Unfortunately, a lot of people are going to die or suffer lifelong consequences from preventable diseases. Yeah FreeDumb. Let's die for a lie. The only thing you can do, is make you are up-to-date on your vaccinations.

If you're interested in the topic, there's another reason we're seeing more pertussis cases: back in the 1980s, the early anti-vaxxers sued the vaccine makers over (real or perceived) side effects. To combat the lawsuits, the manufacturers changed the pertussis vaccine to a different formulation.
We now have 20 years of evidence that the new vaccine isn't as effective as the original pertussis vaccine. Add that to low vaccination rates in children, and it explains why hospital emergency rooms are seeing more children with severe whooping cough.

One other small note....we had an outbreak of Pertussis back in 1994 in parts of Ontario...but a lot of docs wouldn't believe that vaccinated adults were coming down with it.
I had it on top of pulmonary Embolii and it took me 3 months to recover. Fortunately, as others were getting it, I told them that yes, as a kid who was vaccinated about 25 years prior it was possible to get it again and they pushed back on their Docs and got tested and treatment...testing for pertussis is now a core offering of the Public Health centres in Ontario
I am not sure how effective the vaccine is, but if you've ever had a small child with Whooping Cough, you know how serious it can be.

The schedule on the tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis is very confusing.
Tdap is the adult booster for tetanus, diptheria and pertussis. Td is a booster for just tetanus and diphtheria. It used to be that Td was recommended every 10 years for most adults. People who work in construction, healthcare or have a lot of contact with children should get boosted every 5 years.
The "ap" stands for "acellular pertussis". Because there are so many unvaccinated children these days, they are recommending getting Tdap every 10 years after age 7 (including adults). Better to have that extra boost of pertussis immunity than to have a barking cough for a week.
It's really frustrating that healthy adults have to worry about childhood communicable diseases but the anti-vaxxers have put us all at risk.
